When the load gets heavy, your van shouldn't feel unstable. These air bags help keep you level and in control, so you can handle passengers, gear, and towing duties with confidence—no more fighting sag, sway, or a soft suspension.
Factory suspension can struggle under real-world loads—if you're delivering cargo, towing a trailer, or building out a full van conversion. Alpha HD air springs add up to 5,000 lbs of rear support, helping keep your Sprinter level and composed when the weight adds up. No more dragging rear ends, sloppy cornering, or headlight glare that blinds oncoming traffic. Just a stronger stance, more predictable handling, and peace of mind behind the wheel.
A cargo run doesn't ride the same as a weekend trip and your suspension should reflect that. With air pressure adjustability from 5 to 100 psi, you can fine-tune support based on how much gear you're hauling. Drop pressure when you're running light for a smoother ride, or pump it up when the van's packed full. Manual inflation keeps it simple, effective, and easy to manage on your own terms.
From long-haul deliveries to off-grid trails, your van sees more than perfect pavement and this system is built for it. One-inch thick, corrosion-resistant end caps and reinforced with 20 internal support wires for maximum strength under load. Heavy-duty roll plates protect the bags from chafing and extend lifespan. Powder-coated steel brackets fight back against rust, road salt, and rough seasons. If it's bitter cold, scorching heat, or mud-slicked trails, this system is made to outlast whatever the road dishes out, mile after mile, load after load.
This kit is designed with DIY-ers in mind. Precision brackets bolt to existing mounting points with no drilling, and all components come pre-cut and ready to install. Manual inflation valves mount easily to the rear bumper or license plate bracket. No complicated wiring or air tools required. Just a straightforward upgrade you can knock out in a few hours and feel on the very next trip.
Whether you're keeping it simple or planning a full onboard air system, this kit works with your setup. Use the manual inflation valves out of the box or tie into an existing compressor when you're ready. Planning to add wireless in-cab control later? It's compatible with that too. Your van evolves, and your suspension should be ready to grow with it.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Pacbrake Alpha HD rear axle double convoluted airbag suspension kit. Now, this kit has been designed to fit your 2007 and newer Sprinters, the 3500 and the 4500 with the dual rear wheel models, and this is also gonna work with both the two and four-wheel drives. I do wanna point out, as you see there on your screen, this is not gonna fit the single rear wheel models, it's not going to fit the eSprinter models, and it's not going to fit models with ride height sensors, just so you're aware of all that up front. Now, on custom fit parts, such as this kit, I do highly recommend you take advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Just input the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm for you if this kit will work or if we have something comparable that will work for you.
As you know, when the load gets heavy and your Sprinter needs more than just those factory rear springs hanging on for dear life, these airbags are going to help you out. They're gonna add up to 5,000 pounds of rear axle support, so they're gonna help keep your Sprinter level and steady even when your trailer might be loaded or the cargo area in your Sprinter is packed and the miles are long. With a kit like this, you're not gonna have to worry about rear end sag throwing off of your braking or your steering, or your headlights pointing up to the sky instead of the road where they should be. Now, every hull is gonna be different. That's why these air springs give you full control over the ride height and firmness with adjustable air pressure from five to 100 PSI.
So, if you're hauling a fifth wheel or a full bed of gravel, you can crank up the pressure, and then, when you're unloaded and you're heading home, you can drop that pressure back down for a softer ride. With these manual inflation valves, they're tuning your suspension for the day's work. It's gonna be pretty straightforward. Extreme hauling does demand extreme durability. These springs are built with 1" thick corrosion-resistant end caps, which are, you can't see because they do have them kind of loosely assembled, here.
But the bags are also reinforced with 20 internal support wires for maximum strength under that heavy load. And then, you get these heavy-duty roll plates at the bottom and the top, here. That's gonna help protect the bags from chafing, and they're gonna help extend the life of your airbags. And then, these powder-coated steel brackets are gonna fight back against rust, road salt, and rough seasons. And so, if it's bitter cold or you have scorching heat or mud-slick job sites, this system is made to outlast whatever the road gives you, mile after mile and load after load.
These precision laser-cut brackets are designed to bolt cleanly to your Sprinter's existing mounting points. You're not gonna have to worry about welding or drilling into your frame. You're just gonna install these with the included hardware that you see here on my table before me. And then, this kit is designed to work with your setup today and wherever your upgrades may take you tomorrow. With this, you're gonna be able to inflate manually with the standard air vaves out, air valves, rather, right out of the box, so no extra parts are gonna be needed. But if you already have an onboard compressor, this kit's gonna connect easily to most existing setups. And then, if you're planning for an in-cab wireless controller sometime down the road, that's not gonna be an issue, either, because the foundation with this kit is already built in, making it very easy to expand your control options when you're ready. Again, the load support is gonna be up to 5,000 pounds of additional leveling support, but just so you're aware of the fact, air springs do not actually increase your Sprinter's weight carrying capacity, so you wanna make sure that you're not exceeding your manufacturer's recommended weight limit. Instructions will be included to guide you through the installation. And if you do pick this kit up, we would love to hear back from you regarding your experience with the installation and the operation. You can do that by dropping a comment or leaving a review on this product page. And if you have any other additional questions for us, don't hesitate to give us a call. We'd love to help you out. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Going camping!!!
Worked out great
Thank you Joshua for your assistance.
Easy install and done exactly what I needed it to do
Excellent choice… Very high-quality… Took 4 to 5 hours to install… Which included new shocks getting all the tools together and clean up… Very happy thank you
Awesome product easy to install and I really appreciate etrailer service
Installed this past weekend. Haven't towed with it yet. Nice construction and finish. I have a 2025 Chevrolet Trail Boss 2500HD and the spacers are NOT needed. Measurement for needing the spacers in 7" and above between jounce cup and contact pad. My space was 5.5" to 6".
It was very easy install . The ride has improved a lot while towing my 41 ft. toy hauler , Thanks !!
Direct bolt on, plug and play
Easy to install and work just as I had expected. Great finish on brackets and quality hardware. Easy to follow instructions. Highly recommend these airbags!
The 2" spacers are definitely not needed for a Trail Boss. I could barely get them in, and now the ride is super stiff. Now I have to get back under the truck and remove the spacers. Not looking forward to that. It was very difficult installation, for no reason.
Very well built brackets, installation was as explained in the instruction. Happy Camper!
The product is a great product. After installation was completed and the air added to the air suspension, it raised the rear end of the van about 2-3 inches.A very nice improvement.
Installation instructions definitely need better quality diagrams.
