Whether you're at the campsite or the jobsite, this toolbox-mounted ToyLok keeps bikes, lawn chairs, fire pits, generators, power tools, and more safely locked inside the bed of your truck. Simply use the included hole saw and pilot bit to drill a hole in your toolbox for the lock's cable to extend through. The ToyLok housing sits inside your toolbox to keep it hidden from thieves.
The ToyLok's 15', retractable cable is made of braided steel, which is virtually impossible for bolt cutters to cut through. The PVC coating on the cable protects gear from scratches, and the stainless steel retention knob lets you connect the cable to a padlock (included).
To use the ToyLok, simply pull the cable out of the nylon housing and thread it through any open spaces in your gear, such as wheels or handles. The built-in clutch lets the cable extend and retract smoothly without snapping. The clutch also lets you pull out only the length of cable that you need to secure your gear, so there won't be extra cable in your way.
The ToyLok cable can be locked 2 different ways. The first is to thread the retention knob through the receptacle on the side of the ToyLok, and then secure it with the included padlock. The second is to secure the cable to itself using the padlock. To do this, insert the padlock through the hole in the retention knob and then lock it around the cable.
Installation
To install your ToyLok inside your toolbox, first plan where you'd like to locate the hole. Then use the included 1-5/8" hole saw with a 1/4" stainless steel pilot bit to drill a hole in your toolbox. The hole saw and pilot bit will drill through both aluminum and steel toolboxes. Insert the ToyLok into the toolbox and place the cable outlet through the hole. Use the included grommet to seal any open spaces around the cable outlet to keep water out of your toolbox.

Have had a similar product on a previous trailer but this one is much better, stronger and versatile as to where it can be installed.
The cable no longer is retractable after 6 months. And it's not easy to replace.

Much larger, heavier and durable than expected. Will be great to protect valuables in back of truck or at campsite in a day where NOTHING seems safe. Loss of respect for other people’s belongings. Everything needs to be locked and secured these days. Cable coating will protect valuables and mountable, retractable coil case keeps the lock and cable close when needed and stored away when not. I bought one to mount in truck bed and another to mount on RV trailer frame. Excited to use and lose all the loose chain I’ve been using.

I've made several purchases from etrailer and will do so again. Prices are fair and responses good. I had an item break in shipping, with no apparent damages to the box. Told etrailer and sent a picture, and the replacement came a few days later. No problem, no hassle.
But...., I have to plan around etrailer's delay in shipping time. When I have placed my orders, I immediately get confirmation of the order, that includes an indication that my items "will ship in 5-7 days." That seems like a long time in an era of instant gratification. If I'm not in a hurry (like I usually am), then the wait is no big deal given the favorable pricing. If you need it now and don't mind paying more, you might need to shop elsewhere.
The 4" bumper kit was the icing on the cake! Installation was a snap! Very pleased with etrailer's professionalism as well as an excellent web site!

Very nice product. I have attached it to my trailer to secure my motorcycle(s) and trailer.
It was easy to mount to the frame of our RV. Using it to secure the generator. Note our Lancer 2185 came with one attached to the frame in front under the generator locker.
I saw this product on another camper, and instantly knew it was what I've been looking for. We travel allot with our camper, and are always looking for ways to lock up our bikes, lawn chairs, and anything else. This one item, will now replace several chains and short cables we've been using for years. This locking system is compact, and will eliminate my need to store separate cables and maintaining padlocks.
