Multipurpose Use For ToyLok Toolbox Mounted Retractable Cable Lock

Question:
I wanted to use this to secure our bikes to the truck. We use a tailgate pad and I have a bunch of coiled 6foot cable locks. The problem is that they are tensioned so much as a coil that it makes it difficult to loop thru all of the bikes. I saw this and wanted to know if it would work? I would feed the cable thru one of the secured hooks in the truck bad then route thru the frames and secure. WOuld this cable lock work?
