This kit has been a great giver of peace of mind for things in my truck's box. It was straightforward to install (the video was very helpful), and took me - an average owner - less that 1 hour to install. Yes, one has to carry an extra key but without any way to lock up my box (covered with a folding lid), this is a big help.
It is a little stiff to turn, but that is no big deal.
I installed the lock 90 days ago, and wanted to give it a little time before reviewing.
Installation was simple - at least if you've ever been into the tailgate guts before. I have many times as I had a tailgate lock that tapped into the automatic lock circuit in my truck. That actuator was prone to failure. That's why I opted to replace that system with this manual lock. The only downside of a manual lock is that, of course, it's manual. So you have to check and make sure it's locked, and it takes your key to unlock it. But in my book that inconvenience is worth the mechanical reliability. I recently opened the tailgate back up to see how the system was doing. It looks great: no rust, no gunk collecting on moving parts. And it works perfectly. If you want mechanical reliability, this is the way to go.
Great product. Very easy to install by watching etrailer’s video. Perfect fit, and works great, looks factory, and now I can lock the tailgate and protect my tools. The color of the Pal6102 (grey) matches my truck perfect. You can’t go wrong with this product to secure the back of your truck.
It work on 2013 Ridgeline no problem keep people open my tailgate thanks .
I had to replace some plastic interface parts, after unhooking them they just feel apart, the product worked well, used lithium grease on all tail gate moving parts to aid ease of use. Works excellent!
Yes, the lock is installed and working perfectly. I watched the you-tube video and installation was a breeze. My wife and I are soon departing on a year long camping trip across the U.S. and as you can imagine we have alot of camping gear stored in the bed of the truck and I needed a way to ensure it was secured. The lock has been installed for about a week now and I'm glad I chose PoP&Lock it's a very good lock. Thank you all.
Easy to install, straight forward instructions. There was a problem with the mechanism, which was replaced at no charge. It was worked flawlessly for the past year, allowing me to lock my tailgate. Excellent.

Took about 15 min. To get it installed and it seems to be working correctly will give it some time and see how it does
