Specs:
Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. Raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LEDs are capable of producing. It does not include the light's drive method or the amount of light lost from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diodes are capable of producing. Stable lumens builds off the idea of effective lumens by measuring the amount of light produced after 30 minutes of usage, or once the diodes have reached their average operating temperature. These bulbs have a 3,000 raw lumen capacity per bulb and produce 1,995 effective lumens per bulb. The stable lumen capacity per bulb is 1,550 lumens.

Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a look at the H4 LED headlight bulbs. These are going to replace your existing headlights and give you a brighter field of view and an overall better light than what your typical factory light that comes with your vehicle is. So take a little closer, look at these guys and make sure that they're going to be the right fit for you. This is an H4 style bulb. So you can see at the back, it's going to have that three prong design, kind of the flatter attachment points. That's a fit for several different vehicles.
The easiest way to figure out if it's a fit for your particular vehicle is to use our fit guide here at etrailer.com, if you haven't already, and you're just going to put in your year, make and model of your vehicle, and then it should give you a prompt for headlight bulbs, And then you can go from there to find these guys, if you haven't already done that.So these are going to, again, be LEDs are going to be designed for use in the city. So they're not going to be too blinding for any other drivers, but they're still going to give you that nice, strong, bright light. It's going to be a cool white. So that helps to promote better driver awareness, keep you from getting kind of sleepy from looking at that sort of hazy yellow, that a lot of the older style lights, where it is compatible with 12 volt DC systems, and it does have a precision optics designed to make it a more long range visibility with zero glare. So I'm going to hook one of these guys up to my power box here, just so you can get an idea of how bright the lights are.
This is not how you're going to wire in yours, but I just want to show you how bright it is roughly. So I've got my connections made, I'm going to turn this on, it's going to be very bright and turning the light out in the studio. So that's going to be our low beam configuration and then if we turn and on the high beam, that's you give us a different sort of a throw for our light. So it's hard for you guys to see, but it kind of kicks that light up more into the corner of my studio, rather than it going to straight out, as your high beams normally would. Turn on studio lights again, and I'm going to turn this off. So as far as numbers of how bright it is, it does have a raw lumen output of 3000 lumens with an effective lumen rating of 1,995.
The difference between effective and raw lumens is basically raw is the greatest potential that this has with no kinds of interference from any housing or atmosphere conditions or anything like that. So effective lumen output is more like the realistic real-world output for that lumen rating, which is still pretty bright. The stable lumens after 30 minutes of usage, so once maybe the power has settled down a little bit is down to about 1500 lumens. So again, still very bright light. The color temperature for these is 6,500 Kelvin, which is pretty much a true white or cooler white. And again, that's going to help to promote that driver awareness help to keep your eye trained on the road.
The wattage is 16.5 Watts per bulb. The power draw at 13 volts is 1.3 amps per bulb. And the operating range is between 7.5 volts and 16 volts. They are covered by a two year limited warranty and they have a IP67 installation rating. So that helps to protect them from any kind of shock water or dirt, so nothing's going to get in here that is going to cause any issues. It does come with some instructions that have some nice diagrams to kind of help you walk, walk you through the process of getting this installed and also a pretty fun colorful sticker, which is always a plus to me.One last thing you might end up needing a harness for this. If your vehicle has canvas or PWM style lights, which is just a different power voltage thing, you might need an anti flicker harness. You can get that separately to that, to this, or you can also get both the bulb and the harness as a kit. I'll put that part number up there again. So that would be maybe a better option if you do need that to get them kitted together, it's sometimes a little bit less expensive to get them as a kit, so that is an option you can find right here at etrailer.com. That's pretty much going to do it for our look at these lights. I hope this video has been helpful, again, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
They are great. Anything better than stock lights. All the lights on my truck are LEDs now.
