Video Transcript for Vision X Halogen Headlight Bulbs Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado
Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Silverado we'll be installing the Vision X 9005 Halogen headlight bulb, part number VX-L9005. This is the Vision X vehicle lights. They're a cool blue look with a bright light and can help reduce eye fatigue. Now let's go ahead and take a look at a comparison. Looking at the current or original headlights and then both Vision X bulbs installed. As you can see, with the cool blue look and a greater light output it will make it a lot easier to travel down the road safely. Now taking a look directly at the headlights we can see the low beam is the top bulb and the high beam is the bottom bulb. Use a replacement bulb for the current original manufacturers installed bulbs and deliver more light output and greater visibility and comes with a lifetime warranty. Now to install the new bulbs on most gas applications we will not have a battery in this position so you can simply reach around it, but most diesel applications will have a battery so you'll have to remove the battery in order to access the back of the headlight assemblies to remove the old bulbs. To remove the battery we're going to start with the negative battery post.
We'll loosen up the hold down nut, remove the post and set it aside. I'll then go ahead and repeat the same process with a positive battery post. Next we'll need to remove the hold down nut. It will be on the backside of the battery and goes into a wedge that holds the battery in position. Once I have the bolt free I'm going to pull the hold down out and set it aside and then remove the battery. Now we can reach behind the headlight assembly, around the washer bottle fill tube, access the high beam bulb, rotate it to unlock it from the back of the headlight socket and pull it out where we can gain access to it. Now to remove the manufacturers wiring from the headlight bulb we'll go ahead and pull back on the lock and remove the wiring from the socket. Now in some cases it's actually easier to do this while it's still in the headlight. Using a screwdriver I'm going to gently pull up on the lock and remove it from the harness.
We'll go ahead and take the bulb out, set it aside and install the new one. Now to install the new one, I'm going to go ahead and take it and set it into the housing first. Once you line it up, now go ahead and reinstall the wiring into the bulb after I secure the bulb into the housing. Now with our driver's side done I'm going to go over to the passenger's side and basically repeat the same process. Now with both sides installed, we'll go from our low beam to our high beam. As you can see, not only is it brighter, but we also have more coverage from side to side. There you have it for the install and operation of our Vision X 9005 Halogen headlight bulbs, part number VX-L9005 on our 2010 Chevrolet Silverado. .

Works great so far, the case the bulbs came in did came damaged, looks like they were dropped and cracked, but other than that they work great! and therefore the crack wasn’t an issue since the bulbs themselves wasn’t damaged. I’m using these on my 2006 Yamaha YZF 600R headlight bulb. Install was easy and they look good. Came with 2 bulbs. 1st photo is the low beam the second is the high beam.

These bulbs are a great replacement for your stock low beams. I just wanted a white light instead of the incandescent orange. They are a tad brighter and do make things better to see. Installing is easy on the left side and the right side just needs a little more work.

Bought lights for my Jeep Grand Cherokee limited and they work very well. I no longer have the Jeep. I now own a 2005 Ford F-150 and wanting to purchase better light bulbs for it any suggestions?

Low beam bulbs for my GMC Sierra SLE. I just received them and have not installed them yet. However, I want to compliment etrailer for the fast and efficient service they provided. I ordered the original bulbs myself using the decision tree provided me. After a couple of days, I called to follow up on my order (because they were out of stock) and Bill, one of their service reps reviewed my order and found a cheaper pair that were in stock. When I asked what was the difference in price, he advised me that I had ordered bulbs made by a smaller manufacturer; the replacement was equally as good but made by a bigger company. Several days later, I received the bulbs. Great service!

Thought too they’d be brighter and look a little cooler blue but you guys are the best and I won’t be quitting you guys. Still have not put toe on floorboard I ordered for my 03 Acura MDX. Quick take me thru? Should get it on and I’m sure it’s easy.

While these new bulbs absolutely are brighter than the original OEM bulbs, they weren't exactly what I was expecting. I thought they were the super bright blu"ish" colored lights that I'm seeing on other cars coming at me these days. So my expectations were a little off but that doesn't change the fact that these are as advertised and are definitely brighter.

They would last much longer than 250 hours and even if they were to fail at any point they would get replaced.

For vehicles that use a single bulb for both functions the recommended bulbs can do both functions. We show there are different bulb styles for the high beams on the Ram. I checked around and this does seem to be the case. For matching high beams you would need # VX-L9005. The other lights, # VX-LH11, are for the low beams.
