When your truck is working harder under tow, factory brakes can feel slower to respond. This front brake upgrade kit pairs severe-duty brake pads with heat-managing rotors for strong initial bite and predictable braking through repeated stops.
Adding trailer weight changes how your truck responds when you press the brake pedal, especially during sudden stops or repeated braking. These brake pads use a severe-duty, low-metallic friction formula that delivers a strong initial bite, while the matched rotors use OEM-style vanes to help manage the added heat towing creates. Together they give your truck a more immediate, predictable braking response that stays consistent through repeated stops.
Brake vibration often traces back to uneven rotor machining or inconsistent braking surfaces, especially after repeated heat cycles. The rotors use computer-controlled castings with fly-cut, mill-balanced construction and meet or exceed OE specifications for machining tolerances. A non-directional cross-hatch finish promotes even pad bed-in, helping your brake service start with uniform contact and maintain smooth pedal feel as your truck accumulates miles.
Fresh brake components often need a break-in period before they reach their intended performance. These brake pads use positive mold manufacturing to produce consistent density and precise dimensions, then add a bed-in coating that improves initial pedal feel and shortens the break-in process. Multi-layer vulcanized rubber shims help limit the extra noise commonly associated with high-bite low-metallic pads, so your truck delivers responsive braking without unnecessary chatter.
Road spray, moisture, and winter conditions often leave exposed brake components looking rough long before the friction surface wears out. The G3000 premium raw iron rotors use an OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, vanes, and edges to help reduce rust on exposed non-friction surfaces. Your brake components stay in better condition between services while continuing to provide the smooth braking performance they were designed to deliver.
Replacing brakes is a job many experienced DIYers can handle, but brakes are one of those projects where being almost right is still wrong. If you would rather leave it to a professional, find an installer near you.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Timbren Front wheels BES Brake Upgrade Kit. Now, this kit has been designed to fit your 2013 to 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duties with a two-wheel drive with either the dual or single rear wheels. And on custom fit parts such as this kit, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer. Just pop in the year, make, and model of your vehicle, answer any other questions that it might have for you, and our fit guide will confirm if this kit will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, as you know, upgrading your suspension is going to improve the ride quality of your truck, it's gonna help reduce sag when you're towing or hauling those heavy loads, and it's gonna make your truck feel more stable when you're towing or hauling.
But it does not reduce the extra workload that are placed on your OEM factory brakes. So if you've ever felt like your truck takes longer to stop with a trailer or a load, or maybe your brakes are wearing out faster than you expected, or that added weight is making your braking feel less confident, that's where this BES Brake Upgrade Kit is going to come into play. This kit is designed to give your truck stronger, more consistent braking when it's carrying heavier loads. These low-metallic onyx bike brake pads are gonna give you a strong initial bite and eliminate brake fade that occurs with frequent stopping when towing. So you're gonna notice more confident, consistent braking performance on every road trip.
And these multi-layer rubber shims are going to help stabilize the brake pads during braking, ultimately reducing vibration, keeping the brake noise to a minimum without sacrificing braking performance. On your screen, the first photo there shows you a closer detail of what one of these shims look like, I wanted to show you the multi-layered construction. Second photo there just shows you what that brake pad looks like without the shim. Again, a better detailed look of the construction of those items. So these positive-molded pads, paired with these precision-balanced rotors, are gonna promote smooth, even braking and more consistent pedal feel.
Now, speaking of these rotors, and these rotors are very heavy, I needed help getting these on my table. So I'm gonna try to move one of these here carefully, just to give you an overview. So these are OEM-style vented rotors as you can see. So that's gonna help dissipate heat during repeated stops to help reduce brake fade when towing. These are premium G3000 raw iron rotors.
And they're gonna feature Timbren's OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, veins, and outer edges. And as you probably well know, heat is the enemy of brakes. So this OnyxBond coating has a heat threshold of 932 degrees Fahrenheit, which is about 67% better than the standard GEOMET coatings that are most commonly used on OEM parts. The coating also helps protect them from rust caused by road spray, moisture, and winter driving, keeping your brakes looking cleaner between services without affecting braking performance. The pads also feature a bed-in coating right here that's indicated by the blue stripes on the pads. That's gonna transfer to the rotor to protect it during the first stop, so you're gonna be able to enjoy consistent braking performance sooner after installation. This includes everything that you see here on my table. And speaking of installation, if you think you need some help with the install, on this product page, under the photos section, we have a link that will take you to our installer locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to help you with the install. But again, just keep in mind, these rotors are very heavy, so make sure you have enough support when you are swapping them out if you're doing the install yourself. I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. Again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.
