Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this LED side marker or clearance trailer light. This is a DOT compliant two inch diameter round trailer light that will serve as either a clearance or a side marker light. This is P2 rated so it is going to produce a 90 degree beam pattern so 45 degrees on either side of the center line. So this can work as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it won't be able to do both at the same time so you wanna make sure that you're mounting it in the appropriate location. This does have a sealed housing and polycarbonate lens that's going to provide nice durability and ensure it's going to be waterproof for you.
So you can put this on a boat trailer. We do have the amber lens over these tin white LEDs and those LEDs are gonna be great, if you're not familiar with the difference between LEDs and incandescence, the LEDs last about 50 times longer because there's no brittle filament like with your incandescent lights, so you're not gonna have to replace the bulbs and they are gonna be more efficient so they provide brighter light with less power output. Now this is gonna be compatible with your 12 volt DC system. It accepts the industry standard two prong plug. It is right about 7/8 of an inch thick and it is compatible with the grommet so that it can be recess-mounted and that grommet is sold separately but you can find it here at etrailer.com, should be a product listed on the product page as a related product for this.

Excellent. This has to fit into a rubber gasket between the light and the trailer fender. If the size is even slightly off it won't work.
These are really nice marker light for a replacement on oour motohome.
The light works fine, but it did not come with the hardware to install it. It doesn't help having the light working fine on the workbench when there is no way to attached it to the trailer.
Bright, high quality and waterproof. Probably the best quality replacement for running lights of similar size. My only complaint is that there is no base plate. The light is exactly as shown in the photo. But, since there are no replaceable bulbs, I guess it isn't necessary.
