Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this TRIMAX Hitch Receiver Lock. Now, this stainless steel lock is designed for your Class 3, 4, and 5 trailer hitch receivers, and this is designed specifically for heavy-duty towing applications, meaning it's gonna be able to handle the weight and stress of larger trailers. This has a weight rating of 40,000 pounds, and let me go ahead and give you some measurements here. Looking at that inside pin length, or some call it the span. So inside to inside there.
Looks like we're sitting right about 3 1/2 inches. The pin diameter is 5/8 of an inch, and this does feature this rubber cap that's going to make this weather-resistant. And as you can see, these rubber caps on these TRIMAX locks have a very tight seal, so it's not just gonna pop off by itself. It really does have a good hold on it. So I'm just gonna insert one of the two keys here, give that a quarter of a turn, and then that's going to allow me to easily remove that head.
So this is gonna be very easy to unlock and lock. So this lock does feature an advance locking cylinder, so it's gonna be harder to pick and drill than your standard locks. The tube keys are typically more challenging to duplicate, so again, two keys are going to be included with this. So it's gonna be very easy, again, to lock and unlock. It's gonna hold secure that rubber cap.
It's gonna have a good seal on it to keep that weather-resistant. So really, this is going to be good for all season reliability, especially with that durable stainless steel construction. It's gonna hold up really well against the elements that it's going to be constantly exposed to. I can't remember if I gave you the overall length, just end to end. So it looks like just a rough measurement.
Pretty close to seven inches, maybe slightly under, in case you we inchesre wondering about the overall length. Well, if you do decide to pick this up, we would love to hear back from you, whether that means dropping a review on this product page, shooting us an email, giving us a call. We would love to hear how you're gonna be using this lock, and send us a photo of how you're using this and what type of an investment you're protecting with this or securing. Whether it's your trailer or some type of hitch accessory, we would love to see how you're gonna be using this block. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
Great product for the price
Easy to install. Used with the hitch license plate bracket to it wouldn't "walk off." To keep it from banging around (left to right), I used some shackle spacers. Very happy with this.
Well constructed and easy to use. Like that it can't accidentally be partially locked.
Looked high and low for this receiver lock . Most list as class ratings . Glad trailer listed item weigh rating as well as class . Price seems ok ,quality seems fair
Works good, just as described
Solid, well built, easy to use, and provides peace of mind to help keep the honest folks honest!
Does exactly what it should.
