Specs:
This adjustable ball mount has a maximum capacity of 22,000 lbs, making it ideal for heavy-duty towing. The solid steel construction is strong enough to handle large trailers and heavy cargo, and the matte powder coat finish will protect the ball mount from rust and corrosion, even after repeated use. The BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount gives you the strength you need to tow your big loads. And its durable, long-lasting construction can stand the test of time.
Because of its sturdy steel construction, this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount can handle loads up to 22,000 lbs, making it perfect for heavy-duty towing jobs.
The adjustable channel is made of 5/16" thick, laser-cut steel plates. These steel plates can handle high capacities without bending. And because of the laser cutting, the channel plates have consistently sized pin holes, so you can easily remove or reposition the hitch ball platform.
A 1/2" thick steel gusset is welded between the shank and the channel, bracing the mount and keeping the channel from bending, even at the maximum drop or rise.
The solid steel shank is CNC -chamfered, making it easy to slide the shank into and out of your hitch receiver. And with no sharp edges on the shank, the powder coating is less likely to chip and peel.
Each adjustable mount includes a 2-ball platform, which fits in the adjustable channel. The 2 hitch balls are welded onto the solid steel platform for maximum strength and stability.
Finally, the pins and clips included with the ball mount are made of heat-treated steel to withstand the heavy weight from your load. The nickel undercoat with zinc topcoat provides corrosion resistance and ensures the strength of the pin.
To set up this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount, insert the 2" x 2" shank into your hitch's receiver. Slide the 2-ball platform into the adjustable channel, then use the included pins and clips to secure the platform at the height you need. If you need to switch hitch balls, just remove the pins and clips, flip the ball platform over, and reinsert the pins and clips to secure the balls in place. It's that easy.
Because of this mount's significant drop, it's recommended that you install a stabilizer kit (358stabilizerbars - sold separately) to prevent any wobbling and to remove strain from your hitch receiver.
This BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount is compatible with a wide variety of accessories (sold separately). Instead of using the included ball to tow, you can install a weight distribution shank (358WEIGHTDIST) in the channel of the mount to attach your weight distribution system. Add a clevis (358CLEVIS) or shackle attachment (358EDSA) for off-road or recovery operations. Or simply add a hitch step (358STEP) to easily access your truck bed.

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this BulletProof Hitches Heavy Duty, Adjustable 2-Ball Mount for a 2" Hitch. Has a drop and a rise and a 22,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now this two ball mount will slide into your 2" hitch receiver. That'll let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. Up front here, the hitch balls will provide the connection points for your trailer coupler.
And if you notice, this has a two ball mount, so it's got two different size hitch balls. Right here we got a 2 5/16 diameter, and if you flip it over you can use the 2" diameter. This will let you tow trailers with different coupler sizes. And what's nice is, to switch the ball you can, all you have to do, is simply remove these two pins, flip the ball over and then reinsert the pins, and you're ready to go. So just to show you what we're talking about, if I go ahead and take the clips out here.
So with both clips out, I remove the pins. Now the pins, they do include two of these 5/8" diameter, corrosion-resistant, hardened steel pins. Features a nickel undercoat and they put a zinc plating on the top coat, that gives you best corrosion-resistance. Take out the other one. And then once we get both of those out, you can see the ball mount will come loose and then all you have to do is flip it around.
We're gonna put it pretty much in the same place but you can adjust it to what height you need. And then just put it back in the channel. Once you get the holes lined up, put the pins back through and then go ahead and clip them. And then once it's clipped in this position. Then you're all ready to go.
And as simple as that is, you now have your smaller ball. So, it's pretty simple to switch between the two balls. It is an adjustable design, provides a nice drop or rise, allows you to tow trailers of different heights, with the same vehicle. So this ball mount would work well with contractors, where they can install it on one truck and use that one truck for different sized trailers. Now you can see this one has a very large rise and drop. So right now it's in the drop position. So if we would put this in the lowest position it would get you a maximum drop of 15, about 15 1/4 inches. If we flip this over and put it in the rise position and then put the ball mount in the tallest position, it would get you a maximum rise of about 15 3/4 inches. So it does give you nine levels of adjustment. It's two inches between each set of adjustment holes. And you just move your ball platform either lower, or raise it, to match your application. It is a heavy duty steel construction. It does use precision CNC milling and drilling. So it gives you less rattle because of the close tolerances. It is a 5/16 thick channel frame, which is strong and durable. If you notice here it has this large 1/2" thick welded gusset plate, that'll brace the shank and the channel. And the hitch balls themselves are welded to the ball platform for extra sturdiness. So because of that solid shank, the gusset plate, the solid dual ball platform, it is built for heavy duty towing. This steel gusset here, what's nice is, it's welded between the shank and the channel, and that'll brace the mount and keep that channel from bending even at maximum dropper rise. Total weight on this whole part is about 51 pounds. Now, one thing I do wanna mention, 'cause of the large gusset on here, you could run into a clearance problem when you install this. So I want to give you a measurement. From this gusset to the first hitch pin hole center, is gonna be 3 1/2 inches. From the gusset to the second hitch pin hole, is about 5 inches. Now this ball mount also has many different dimensions to it, so what I also recommend is for you to go to the product page of this part number and on that product page, you'll have a picture of this and then it has all the dimensions on it. So you can verify any dimension that you might need for your application. This part as made in the USA with the USA steel. This product is used by the US military, so it does give you a peace-of-mind that the product uses quality materials. The hitch has a nice powder coating on it. It's a textured, heavy duty black finish. This heavy duty finish on the ball mount looks, makes it keep looking like new, instead of all worn and rusty after a short time. Now, when you do install this into your hitch it will require a hitch pinning clip or a hitch lock to secure it to the hitch receiver. Those items are not included. You would have to supply those, or we do sell those separate on our website. A few specs again, this slides into a 2" by 2" trailer receiver. This large drop in rise will, is ideal for vehicles that have a 34" to 36" clearance, from the ground to the bottom of your hitch receiver too. Gross towing weight capacity on this, if it's used with the 2" diameter ball, is 12,000 pounds. If you flip it over and use it with the 2 5/16 ball, 22,000 pounds. Tongue weight capacity of 3000 pounds. And also this is a channel mount design. There are a variety of attachments that are available for this ball mount. So you can use this with a pintle hitch, a shackle hitch, hitch step, there's many items that'll also fit in here, besides the ball mount. We do list those on the product page as related products. But that should do it for the review on the BulletProof Hitches Heavy Duty Adjustable 2-Ball Mount for a 2" Hitch, with a drop and a rise and a 22,000 pound gross towing weight capacity..
