Today we're going to be taking a look at the Tow-Rax Aluminum Utility Tray with Tool Rack, part number TWSPOTS. As you can see, the utility shelf has a nice machined aluminum finish. We've got full welds that go all the way around any of our connections. We're not dealing with just a few tack welds here and there. They're really built for long lasting use. The tray itself that we've got back here is about 4-1/4" deep.
That's going to allow us to fit a lot of things in here, any of our penetrating oils, our sprays, our alcohol cleaning stuff. Also this is going to allow us, if we decide to go this route with it, to put a few nice little cargo organizers in there so you can pull out maybe all your Allen keys at once or all your drill bits at once, or whatever you're going to need. We've got a nice tool rack right here designed on the front. Metric set of wrenches here, or slots rather for the metric wrenches: 10 all the way up to an 18mm. On the standard size here, again, we go from the full set, we go from a 3/8 all the way out to the 13/16. Here in the middle we've got a double hole design.
There's a hole here at the bottom and at the top to help keep our screwdrivers from teetering around too much. We're going to have seven slots across here whether we decide to put in screwdrivers or some kind of hand tool. Now overall from side to side we've got about 33-11/16 for width. For our height from the very top to the bottom side we've got about 5-1/4". From our mounting position or the wall all the way out to the end we're looking at about 6-1/4". We've mounted our rack right up to our 2x6.
We've used number 8 self-tapping screws. It does a good job of holding our stuff in place. Now, the hardware's not included and you will get to choose where you're going to drill your mounting holes. It's very easy to drill out. You can get this catered to fit any area that you want, whether it's going to be in your trailer like we're doing it today, maybe in your shop, maybe in your garage.
No matter where you need those holes to be, you can drill them out and run you're hardware through. Now that we've got all our gear loaded up and we've gone over the features of it, that will complete today's look at the Tow-Rax Utility Rack, part number TWSPOTS. .
