Today we're going to take a look at the K-Source custom manual driver side extendable towing mirror. This is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2007 to 2014 Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC trucks and SUVs. Because it fits so many different vehicles I would recommend you go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it will show you if this will work for your application. This is an extendable towing mirror which will replace the factory driver side view mirror on your vehicle. There's no reason to use any of the snap on or strap on towing mirrors that you constantly have to put on and then take them off. It has a telescopic function right here makes it very easy to see around the side of your trailer so that you can safely change lanes, pass, and park. All you have to do is just basically pull the mirror away from your vehicle.
That extends your line of site by about 4 inches. Then when you're done towing all you have to do is push it all the way back in and that keeps it out of the way. This is a manual mirror face adjustment so when you're adjusting the mirror you just have to use your hand to adjust it to where you need it. If you'll notice the smaller mirror right down here. This is a built in spotter mirror which will reduce blind spots. It also is a manual adjustment.
It does have a hinge design to it which will allow this mirror to fold up against your vehicle for parking or for fitting into tight spaces. It is a durable plastic housing, has a nice textured black finish to it and it is custom fit for your vehicle. You can see it is a simple no drill installation. It has the same footprint and mounting points as your factory mirrors. Also includes a new foam gasket on it. This part is for a quantity of one passenger side mirror only. I do want to give you a few specs on this.
We're going to measure the mirror face, the dual mirror face dimension. We're going to do the width and the overall height. The width on this is going to be right at 7 and 3/4 inches wide. The height we're going to include the spotter mirror at the bottom to the very top is 12 inches tall. Now the retractive length, right now it's in the retractive position so that's measured from here to here.
That's going to be 18 and 1/2 inches. Again, if we extend the mirror out when you're towing, you're extended length from here to here is going to be 22 and 1/2 inches. That should do it for the review on the K-Source custom manual driver side extendable towing mirror.

Custom, manual towing mirror replaces the driver's-side mirror on your vehicle. The mirror telescopes out to extend your line of sight. The built-in spotter mirror reduces blind spots. No-drill installation.I ordered K-Source towing mirrors.. back ordered but eTrailer worked magic..
I did read one line in the instructions, (DON"T DROP A BOLT INSIDE THE DOOR PANEL)
Installation was 20 minutes start to finish with a 10mm deep socket/ratchet and screwdriver.
I did NOT remove door panels, you can bend them back far enough to reach all three bolts. Remove the triangle plug on top of the door that's behind the mounting bolts for the mirrors. Remove three 10mm nuts and swapped mirrors. It could go faster with another set of hands to hold the mirror as you install the bolts.
Note1. Be sure to use the foam piece that comes with the new mirrors, it's a gasket to help make the whole thing fit. I think that's photo number three.
End result, these mirrors do yield to pressure to make them swing back if you're in a tight spot. Road trip is next to see how much they may move.
I'm very impressed with the quality construction, they feel/look top notch. These are OEM factory quality indeed.
Thanks again Samantha G..
Works great
