Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the MAXTRAX 18 millimeter wide by five meter long static recovery rope. Has a 21,237 pound vehicle recovery capacity. Now, this is a high-strength HMPE, which stands for high modulus polyethylene rope. This will act as a static element during vehicle recovery.

So it is perfect for use with cars, trucks, jeeps and buggies. The HMPE rope has an extremely low density and a strength to weight ratio that is eight times higher than high-strength steel. Also, the nice feature is this HMPE rope will float, whereas steel wire sinks. This can be used as a tree trunk protector, a load sharing bridle or as an extension to your winch cable. The built-in loops, you can see here, on each end lets you attach to shackles or D-rings on vehicles.

It is polyethylene and polyester coating on it, protects the attachment points from scratches. A few dimensions we mentioned. This is a diameter of 18 millimeters or three quarters of an inch, and when we say that, that's actually the diameter of the loops here, basically that three quarter-inch-diameter size is the thickness of the loop that will attach to the hook or the attachment point 'cause the actual diameter of the rope itself right here is about one and a half inches. The length of this, we mentioned, is five meters, which will translate into 16 feet, four inches long. The maximum load or brake strength on this is 63,713 pounds, and as we mentioned earlier, the vehicle recovery capacity is a third of that, which is 21,237 pounds, but as you can see, it has a nice orange covering over it.

It makes it very highly visible. You can see it has a hook and loop strap that's attached to the rope itself.
