Road grime, rain, and salt can take a toll over time. The black powder coat finish keeps the steel protected from rust and corrosion while maintaining a clean look up front. It’s the kind of finish that holds up through repeated use and tough road conditions.
If you prefer straightforward hookups with nothing to remove or misplace, this fixed-bar setup is as simple as it gets. The crossbar-style base plate provides solid, visible attachment points ready for towing every time. It works with Roadmaster tow bars when used with the quick-disconnect crossbar (910021-00 – sold separately), so you can integrate it easily into your existing system.
For a full towing system, you’ll need fish wire bolt leaders (C58400 – sold separately) to complete installation. The setup pairs well with Roadmaster components like the Falcon 2 Tow Bar (RM-520), safety cables (RM-643), wiring kit (RM-154), charge line kit (RM-156-25), and a supplemental braking system such as the Brake Buddy Select 3 (HM39524). With these matched parts, your flat tow configuration comes together cleanly and reliably.

It’s been great. I only use it to tow my huntn’ rig and never a problem. I’m 87 now and can load and unload by myself.

Install completed and many miles of care free towing behind our motorhome. Fixes suggested made for a simple install. Should be incorporated in future kits. I wont charge for the redesign. :+~ I spent my working life as a mechanical designer builder for a major industrial equipment company.

I spoke to my contact at Roadmaster and he said, as this kit is for vehicles 30 plus years old, it does not fit the new systems, verbiage, and formats that are currently used in installations. With this vehicle being an uncommonly flat towed vehicle as well, they are limited to the one vehicle that came into their shop, which was being the model to design the installation instructions. This can lead to little things not being detailed in the instructions.
