We highly recommend this fuse bypass switch if you need to deactivate a fuse when you flat tow. It's a huge pain to pull the fuse by hand every time, and you risk losing or damaging it. With this kit, you just have to flip a switch.
Features:
Specs:
Note: Consult your owner's manual to determine which fuse to pull.
Technically, it is optional, but if you need to pull a fuse on your vehicle when you flat tow, this kit will make your life so much easier. Instead of wedging yourself down on the floorboard and fishing a tiny fuse out from under your dashboard every time you flat tow (not to mention putting it back again), you can just flip a switch. No dead battery, no lost fuse, no damaged fuse, no back pain.
When the switch is in the drive position, the fuse will be active and your car will function normally. When you're ready to flat tow, you'll flip the switch to the tow setting and deactivate the fuse. This allows you to tow your vehicle without the battery draining.
Installing this fuse bypass switch really only takes a few steps:
1. Open the fuse access panel and remove the designated fuse
2. Connect the end of the wiring harness to the fuse socket
3. Mount the switch in your dashboard
4. Insert the pulled fuse into the fuse holder

Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Curt Two Circuit ATC/ATO Fuse Bypass Switch for towed vehicles. Now some vehicles can only be towed if you get under the hood and pull a fuse. And if you don't remove the fuse before towing, there's a good chance that your car's battery will be drained by the time you reach your destination. So that's where you'll use this fuse disconnect system to prep your vehicle to be towed.
Very simple to install. You just simply relocate your car's fuses that are indicated in your vehicle's owner's manual with this bypass and then flip the integrated switch. So basically what you'll do is remove the two fuses from your fuse box and in place of where you removed the fuses, you will insert these connectors in the place of those and then the fuses you took out, you will install them back into these inline fuse holders right here. Once they're installed, go ahead and put the cap over them to protect them. Now you're ready.
What you're wanna do is you have your switch on this end, if you flip the switch to the tow position, you're good to tow. This will render the fuses inactive so that you can flat-tow your car without its battery being drained. And then when you unhook the car and you're ready to drive it, you can just flip it the other way, turn it back on and there's no need to have to remove or replace your fuses every time. Now this switch, you do probably want to mount this near your fuse box. Also a nice thing is because you have them here, you're storing the fuses so that you won't lose it.
In other words, when you take them out, you do have to usually store them somewhere and then put them back in. So when you take them out this way, you got them right here. You don't have to worry about losing them. As we mentioned, this does install very quickly and easily and permanently. Does conclude a nice set of installation instructions on how it installs and this does maintain the functionality of the high-amp fuses when it is switched on.
The application for this, we mentioned, is for ATC and ATO fuses. One note I do want to mention, do not install a fuse in this bypass that has more than a 20 amp rating. But that should do it for the review on the Curt Two Circuit ATC/ATO Fuse Bypass Switch for towed vehicles..

Perfect! Great supplier!
Product came as described and had no issues. Installed it about a year ago and still works ^_^
Good product and great service
Part performed as advertised.
Easy installation
While attempting to install it was impossible to plug in and get it to stay in place. The spade end broke before I was able to get it properly installed. Had to Jerry-rig it to get this inferior product to work. Not worth the time or money.
