Easily plug this custom harness into your towed car to get the turn and brake signals you need for flat towing. Unlike other kits out there, this harness protects your vehicle from electrical feedback without you needing to splice in extra diodes.
When you're towing a car behind your motorhome, you'll need a way to get the tail, brake, and turn signals from your RV to the car to be safe and legal. This kit plugs into factory ports on your vehicle so your car can display the electrical signals coming from your motorhome. That way everyone on the road knows what your rig is up to as you tow.
This is a completely plug-and-play option for your vehicle, so the installation of this kit will be quick and easy.
While this kit has everything you need to get your towed car wired and ready, you'll still need some gear to get moving. To connect to your RV's electrical, you'll need an umbilical, and you'll need to make sure the plugs on that cord match the ones on your RV as well as the 4-way that's now on your car. If your RV has a 7-way, C57271 is a great option.
Something else to think about is whether or not you need a brake light relay. If your car's brake lights illuminate when the engine is off, you'll need to install a relay (RM-88400 - sold separately) to make sure the brake signal overrides the turn signal sent by your RV when you're slowing down to turn while towing.
And of course, there are a ton of other parts and accessories that will make towing your vehicle easy. Feel free to shop around our site or drop us a line if you have any questions. And once you get all set up, don't forget to send us a review full of pictures so we can see your rig out on the open road!

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Blue Ox EZ Light tow bar wiring kit for Chevrolet and GMC trucks. Now, this is a custom fit part. This is designed to fit the 2007 to 2014 Chevrolet Suburban Tahoe and the GMC Yukon trucks with the factory four-pin plug. Now, when you're towing a vehicle behind your motor home, you're gonna need a way to get the tail brake and turn signals from the RV to the vehicle to be safe and legal. This kit here will plug into your factory connectors on your vehicle to connect the electrical signals from the motor home to the vehicle.
Now, as we mentioned, this kit is designed to work on vehicles that have the factory four-pin plug, and I just wanna zoom in and show you what we're talking about. If you look at the connectors here that you plug in behind the tail lights, you'll notice this one has the four pins. They also do a five pin and a six pin. If your vehicle has a five-pin plug, you do have to use a different harness. It's part number BLU55HR.
And if your vehicle has the six-pin plug, you'll use the part number BLU35HR. Again, this one is for the four-pin plug. Now, this is a complete plug & play option for your vehicle. So the installation of this kit's quick and easy. And it is a complete kit, includes everything shown here on the table, includes all the hardware and the installation components you need, including detailed instructions.
A few of the components it comes with is this converter box that comes with those four-pin connectors, comes with the light, four-way wiring, the length of it that goes up to the front of the vehicle. You'll plug this into your four-way on your RV. And what's nice is when you run this all the way up to the front of the vehicle, instead of just having this hanging there in the front, they do give you this four-way flat mounting bracket with the hardware that this will fit into. (throat clearing) And it even comes with a four-way dust cover that you could install on here. And when you're not plugged in, it'll cover those terminals to protect it from any damage or from the elements.
Comes with a little package of terminal grease to put on all your electrical connections. Come with some cable ties to take up any slack in your wiring. And it comes with this grounding screw. If you notice on your four-way, it has this white wire with an eyelid on it that needs to connect to a good clean ground if there's one nearby, if not, they give you a grounding screw that you can make your own ground. And again, the install is very simple. What you'll do is go to the rear of the vehicle and behind the tail lights you'll find where these connections will be and you'll just unplug it and plug in these T connectors. You'll start on the driver's side and you'll take this connector with the yellow wire in it, that's for the driver's side, and as I said, these are for the four-pin connectors. So you unplug it, plug this in on the driver's side. Over here you'll have a length of wire with a green wire that's for your passenger side. Again, you'll go behind the tail lights, plug this in, and then what you're gonna do is run this length of wire the four-way all the way up to the front. When you get to the front, again, you'll hook up your mounting bracket to put this in, ground your white wire, put your four-way plug or cover on if you need it, and as we mentioned, use the terminal grease on all your electrical connections. Now also, always remember if you have any questions regarding this product or any of our products, please don't hesitate to contact us via phone, chat, or email, or if you've purchased any product from us, please send us pictures of it being used in your application, 'cause we'd love to see how that product's working out for you.
