1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Vesper steel modular trailer wheel. This wheel is going to measure 15 inches in diameter and five inches in width. This does have the five on five inch bolt pattern. So with your odd number of bolt holes there you'll measure from the center of one to the far side of either one of these that are directly opposite it.
So you're gonna get a five inch measurement there. These do have the beveled stud holes that are going to help to keep your wheels securely in place on your trailer, so it helps to eliminate the need to constantly re-tighten your lug nuts. This will work with your wheel lug sizes half inch by 20. Your pilot hole diameter here, that's gonna go over the hub on your trailer is 3.19 inches and this does have the steel construction with the modular design. So it is gonna be very sturdy and corrosion resistant.
It's going to give us a weight capacity of 2,160 pounds. You can see it does have this nice white finish on it. That's a three step finishing process or the result of the three step finishing process that includes zinc phosphate, phosphate bath, an E-coat primer, and then this white acrylic enamel on the outboard side. On the inboard side that is gonna be lightly E-coated to help reduce friction and provide rest resistance. This is going to meet the SAE J1204 standards, and as you can see it does have the valve stem included.

I received my wheel with a dent .
Big dent but small enough to keep pressure in the tire.
I was upset i didn’t open my package until a week after i received it so i thought if i complained they would have thought it was me who did that. Didn’t bother to complain.
Besides the big dent the rim has it’s been solid and hasn’t had any problems. I would give 5 stars if it wasn’t for the dent i received the wheel with.

Rims packaged very good! Shipped super quick, that's a plus. Pricing is in line. Why'd I knock off two stars? I ordered 5 rims, they are all the same size but I got 2 different brands, with different valve stems. Now this probably wouldn't bother some people...it probably wouldn't have bothered me if I were putting them on a work trailer. But my enclosed trailer is pretty sweet and I'm a bit OCD with it. I needed to get tires back on to get it moved so shipping back was not an option unfortunately.
This is a tremendous wheel! The 6" wide wheel is rated at 2835 lbs. Remember your rig is only as good as its weakest link, so a pair of these would be good for 5670 lbs. Overkill on a 3500lbs axle? Maybe, but definitely gives peace of mind, and the price is comparable. They even ship with the high pressure metal stems installed. The offset is neutral, so the difference from a 5" is only a half inch back spacing increase. Be sure to check your clearances from hub face to frame, but my Dexter 95" axle has plenty of clearance from the 80" frame. eTrailer has been the best vendor, period! I originally needed these wheels in April 2016 to replace the truck wheels I had, but the 5-on-5" wheels were not a carried item. Within days the team added them to their product line and had them shipped.
These newer Vesper wheels are even better than the originals from 2016. Thanks eTrailer team for another great experience!

Rims look great and fit perfectly on the axle. Having the rims fitted with Goodyear Endurance 14 ply tires. These should last years on my old dump trailer

Perfect match and fit for our 2002 Logan bumper pull horse trailer. Picture shows existing and new wheel (back wheel). New wheel has a classy thin red and blue stripe around the rim….Tire is 225x75R 15 E rated trailer tire.
I have replaced all of my original trailer wheels with these vespers. They have a higher weight rating than the ones that came on my trailer and failed. I love this wheel. They are strong with a beautiful baked on powder coat!
