This wheel is designed to be used in dual-wheel setups. The 5.5" offset allows the wheel to be positioned closer to the trailer frame when used as the inner wheel of the setup. And if you use this wheel in the outer position, the offset ensures that it will sit closer to the outside of your trailer.
This wheel is hub piloted, which means that it centers on the hub, not the lugs. The wheel requires the use of flange nuts (sold separately) for installation.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a brief look together at this Lionshead Black Steel Dual Wheel. Now this heavy duty steel wheel with these two handholds, there's one right here and then the other one is right there. It's probably hard to see because of the color of this wheel, but it features two handholds and this is designed for use on dually trucks, buses, and trailers. Now this wheel does have a high offset, so this is going to allow for this wheel to be used as either an inner wheel in this position, or in this position, it can be used as an outer wheel on a dual wheel setup.
The offset is either a positive or negative 5.59 inches. And this steel wheel is sturdy and corrosion resistant. It does feature a rust resistant finish that includes an E-coat primer and a black powder coat finish on both sides of this wheel, as you already have seen. And this is a hub piloted wheel, which means it will center on the hub of the axle, not on the lug nuts. And the pilot hole diameter is 4.76 inches.
And this does require the use of flange nuts for installation. We do offer those separately here at etrailer.com. This does use a wheel lug size of five eighths of an inch by 18 flange nut. And you probably already saw, but I do wanna point out that the metal valve stem is installed, as you can see there. This wheel does meet SAE J1204 standards.
And the dimensions of this wheel, measuring inside to inside, is going to be 17 and a half inches in diameter. And then measuring the width, again, measuring bead seat to bead seat, where the tire is actually going to meet with the wheel here on the inside, we are sitting right at six and three quarters inches wide. And our bolt pattern is eight on six and a half inches. And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes, and the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle of which the bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes as we have here, you're simply going to measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it.
Now this wheel does have a capacity of 6,200 pounds, and this wheel does feature a lifetime structural warranty. And one final note, this wheel does come with complimentary roadside assistance for two years. These wheels did not fit over the hub on 2017 E-450 chassis, which it is supposed to fit. The hole is a few mm too small. They looked like they are reconditioned but can't confirm that.

Looks like a solid rim haven’t mounted a tire on it yet, but I am pleased this one wasn’t damaged when it arrived like the last one. Check them over very good the other rim I received with this one had bad rubbing and a slight dent from shipping. If they would use better packing material than just paper it would probly help to prevent this.
