The two-layer finish starts with an e-coat primer for adhesion and coverage, topped with a white powder coat that seals out water and road grime. Getting the right fit is simple when the specs are clear. This wheel measures 16" in diameter and 6" wide with an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern and a pilot diameter of 4.9". It fits stud sizes of 1/2"-20 and/or 9/16"-18 and has a +0.5" offset where the mounting surface sits just outside the rim’s centerline.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Dexstar 16 inch by six inch white modular heavy duty steel trailer wheel with an offset in the eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern. Now, this wheel's a sturdy steel construction. It is a modular design, and when we say modular design, that's the one that has the round holes all the way around the wheel. This wheel offers excellent corrosion resistance 'cause it uses a two step finishing process where they first use an eco primer, and then they cover with the white powder coat finish. It is a high quality wheel, it does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications, and we did mention this wheel does have a positive offset of half an inch, and what an offset is, just to let you know, an offset is where this mounting surface is in relation to the center line of the wheel.
So basically, if this mounting surface lines up with the center line, that's the zero offset, that's the starting point. If this mounting surface would move towards the outside of the wheel or the front of the wheel this way, that's a positive offset. If it moves this way, that's a negative offset. So when it moves a half an inch this way, that means it's actually gonna move this tire wheel a little bit closer to your trailer. So this wheel does have a half inch positive offset.
Now if you notice, the center cap is not included. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get one that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole 'cause when you install the center cap, it'll go through this hole. The pilot hole diameter is 4.9 inches. Now, this wheel is made by Dexstar, which means it is made in the USA.
A few dimensions, we're gonna measure the diameter and the width on the wheel. And when you measure the diameter, what you're measuring is gonna be inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat. Basically when the tire's mounted on here, the tire beads are gonna seat right here. So that's gonna be the inside measurement, bead seat to bead seat. So that's the measurement you're gonna want for the diameter of the wheel.
So you can see if we put a ruler or tape measure on that, it's right at a 16 inch diameter. The width is gonna be the same way, bead seat to bead seat, inside to inside, and there's your six inch width. Now, this wheel does have an eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern, and if you wanna measure that on a wheel, that's an even number of lugs. Like in this case, you can see the lug holes are directly across from each other, so it's pretty easy because all you have to do is pick any one of the holes. So if we pick this hole here, measure from the center of it to the center of the hole directly across from it, it's gonna measure six and a half inches, so that means this is an eight lug six and a half inch bolt pattern. Wheel lug size you can use on this is a half inch by 20 or nine 16ths by 18, and this wheel we call the heavy duty wheel, and the reason is 'cause it has a higher weight capacity, and the capacity on this wheel is 4,400 pounds. But that should do it for a look at the Dexstar 16 inch by six inch white modular heavy duty steel trailer wheel with an offset in the eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern.

The rims you sent has some marks on the finish, which I'm not very pleased about. The tires are from 2024, and while AI mentioned they are still good despite being a year and a half old, I find it disappointing that your company would do this. Additionally, I spoke with two different people in chat, and both assured me that the tires would be mounted on the rims, but that was not done.
Wheel are nice and made in USA. Boxing was sufficient.
HOWEVER, it was shipped UPS and the box came torn and the one wheel had several spots where the powder coat was chipped.
They really need to stop using UPS as they just don't care about handling items carefully.
The driver put in on a cement porch so loudly that I heard it from another floor away inside the house.
Looks very well made and capable of handling the travel trailer weight. The OEM wheel was leaking at its welded seam. Matches the original design and appearance.

Not a lot to say - it seems to be holding the spare tire very effectively. The spare has been used, so it worked! It rotated and worked like a wheel should. The wheels on the RV did in fact, go round and round, all through the town (and country). I would buy it again.

This is a very heavy duty wheel. I thought my current wheels were 4400Lb rating but after getting this one obviously my are not. This wheel is thicker center and outer rim. Very well built, and Made in the USA too.
