When you’re hauling something that matters, strength in the wheel is what keeps the rig steady. This 14" x 5-1/2" steel rim is rated for 1,870 lbs and meets DOT standards, giving it the backbone to handle real highway miles without compromise. The +0.5" offset helps align your load properly and keeps your setup stable when it’s working hard.
Salt air, rain, and road grime can ruin a wheel fast, but this one’s built to fight back. The white powder coat finish sits over an e-coat primer for excellent corrosion resistance that holds up through repeated exposure to water and weather. It keeps its clean look and solid structure long term.
No guesswork here—the Dexstar Conventional Steel Wheel uses a common 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, a pilot diameter of 2.62", and 1/2"-20 wheel bolts. That combination makes it straightforward to match with existing hubs and parts that use the same standardized sizing.
If you like that clean, vintage appearance, this wheel works with the Americana Baby Moon Trailer Wheel Center Cap # AM90086. The conventional design skips spokes for a smooth, timeless look that fits right in on restored or custom setups.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Speaker 1: Today we're gonna take a look at the Dexstar 14-inch by five-and-a-half-inch white conventional steel wheel with an offset. Has a five-on-four-and-a-half-inch bolt pattern. Now, this is wheels of sturdy steel construction. Gives you excellent corrosion resistance because they use a white powder coat finish over an Eco primer on the front and the back of the wheel. The wheel's a conventional design, which is a solid center design type wheel. It is a high quality wheel.
Meets the DOT, or Department of Transportation, specifications, and it is made by Dexstar, which means it is made in the USA.Few specs on this. On the diameter, it's 14 inches, and that's always measured inside to inside, or where the tire bead would seat. In other words, when you mount a tire on here, the bead of the tire seats here, so when you measure the diameter, it's inside to inside. So if we take a ruler or tape measure here, here's your 14-inch diameter. The width of the wheel is the same way.
It's inside to inside, or bead seat to bead seat. So if we put the ruler on it, there's your five-and-a-half inches wide. Now, the bolt pattern on this wheel is a five-on-four-and-a-half-inch bolt pattern, and if you wanted to measure that on a wheel, it's an odd number of lugs, like in this case, five. All you have to do is pick either one of the holes -- let's say this one -- and measure across to either one of these holes. But when you measure it, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole that you measure to. So on this one, again, center to the furthest edge.
You can see it's four-and-a-half inches. Five-on-four-and-a-half-inch bolt pattern. This wheel does use a wheel lug size of a half-inch by 20. Weight capacity on this wheel is 1,870 pounds. And the pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole here in the center of the wheel, measurement on that. That's the hole that'll go over the hub on your trailer.
It's right at 2.62 inches. Now, this wheel does have a slight offset, and an offset is measured, this mounting surface right here that mounts up to the hub on your trailer, when this is right at the center of the wheel, that's a zero. That's the starting point. So if this mounting surface would move towards the front of the wheel, that's a positive offset. If it would move back, that would be a negative offset. This one actually has a positive half-inch offset, so that means this mounting surface right here, from the center line, has move half an inch this way.But that should do it for a review on the Dexstar 14-inch by five-and-a-half-inch white conventional steel wheel with the offset and a five-on-four-and-a-half-inch bolt pattern.

Good quality, no issues, for my boat tr ailer.
The paint is very substandard. Every time I pick up the wheel, more paint is chipping off the rim and this is with very careful handling.

Hi Jenny, interestingly the area that chipped was along the flange that is now hidden by the tire that I had mounted. So I can’t get a picture.

Quality wheels & fast shipping. Solved a hub cap fitment problem. Your detailed specs are great! I wish everyone would be this thorough. Looking forward to doing business in the future. Thanks,John
Great service! I ordered standard shipping and they upgraded me by a few days! Wheel arrived securely packaged.
Quite happy with eTrailer, your web site is book marked in my browser ready for the next time I need something for my trailer.
The white one was cheaper so I bought it and painted it black. Works good, matches the old school wheels on my stock trailer.
Thank you so very much. The rims look great. I can't wait to get them on the trailer. It is a pleasure working with you and answering my questions. I have received great service from etrailer on everything that I have ordered.
These are standard 14" trailer wheels. We blew a tire and ruined the wheel on our Whitewater Retro 177SE and these are the exact same wheel. I had to paint the rim to match the trailer as the originals were painted to match, but fitment was an exact match.
Rim did not fit my camper center hole was to small
Went from 13 in x 4 in to these new 14 in x 5.5 in rims and from 175-70 1075 lb to 175-65 1170 lb tires and load ratings. Sweet ride now with an old spare wheel for an emergency.
etrailer had all the specs I needed to pick out these rims for my utility trailer. Very happy with my upgrade and etrailer.
Fine service and excellent communication. Product quality is good. Recently ordered an item which was not currently in stock. I was offered an alternative, but opted to wait for item to become available. Despite additional effort order was completed in reasonable time with no hassle. I recomend

Still rolling. Wheels are the best for traditional look of baby moon and trim ring.
Great service and product going on a 1968 camper trailer
Excellent product! The rims and hub caps look great on our 1964 Northwestern Little Dipper trailer.
I wanted to replace the faded red wheels that came on my Riverside Retro trailer. These were an exact match and fit perfectly. My only minor complaint is both wheels had a couple good sized chips in the paint/powder coating on the lip of the wheel.

I wanted to see if you could send a picture of the paint that is flaking off the wheel.
