Features to know about

Built for Real Highway Miles: Load Range D with 81-mph Speed Rating

When you’re logging long miles in the heat, this Rambler ST145/R12 Radial Trailer Tire keeps its cool. It’s an 8-ply tire with a 1,230-lb maximum load at 65 psi and a speed rating of 81 mph (M). The radial design reduces rolling resistance and heat buildup, so it runs steadier on the highway and lasts longer. It meets DOT specifications and exceeds FMVSS standards, so it’s ready for real-world towing.

Confidence Under Heavy Loads: Double Steel Belts and Polyester Cords

This tire’s construction is all about strength where it counts. Double steel belts are reinforced with double polyester cords to handle heavy loads without sacrificing flex or comfort. A nylon overlay wraps the tread area to help prevent tread separation, adding another layer of security when you’re hauling gear or equipment that can’t afford downtime.

Smooth and Predictable Ride: Radial Ply Design for Better Tracking

Radial ply tires like this Rambler have cords laid out at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel. That means less internal friction, less rolling resistance, and cooler running under load. The result is a steadier ride that tracks straight at highway speeds — perfect for those long hauls where stability matters most.

Easy Fitment and Dependable Size Match: Fits 12" Diameter Rims

The Rambler ST145/R12 fits standard 12" diameter wheels with a 4" width, giving you an easy match when replacing worn tires. With a 21.3" overall diameter, it provides consistent clearance and stance. Whether you’re upgrading from a similar size like 4.8-12 or matching an existing setup, this tire drops right in with no surprises.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Everything looks great. I think the tires may be a bit large for my application. I’m assuming these tires will fit on the rims I purchased but if not, how do I go about sending them back and getting a refund.

Yes! If you need to return them feel free to reach out to me and I can help get that started for you. These tires will fit 12 inch diameter wheels - how big are your wheels youre wanting the tires for?

@BrookeM thanks for getting back to me. The rims are 12” so I think the rims I bought will be fine but the tires a have right now on my trailer are 4.80-12, so they are smaller than the ones I purchased. I think they might work, I just don’t want them hitting the wheel well once weight is put on trailer.

by:

Was the perfect fit for my pop up trailer. Took them on a long drive and so far no problems. Smooth ride.

by:

I selected this tire to replace old the 5.30-12 bias ply tires that were on my small utility trailer that I converted to haul Kayaks. I felt the radial option was preferable in terms of load and speed range of 81 mph compared to the bias ply limitation of 65 mph.
With these tires I feel more confident hitting the road for our next river trip. I’ll try to provide an update once I have some miles on these tires.

by:

Nice upgraded tire. Excellent quality.

by:

It will be better load rating for my little aluminum boat, I’ll have it installed tomorrow, will will be awesome. Thanks ya all.

by:

Good tires, fast shipping

by:

Very good communication from the start. Clear pricing, stock status, delivery time, and invoicing. Arrived in 2 days well packaged (in a box, not crushed by banding). Mounted them an hour later no issues. Hope these tires serve me as well as the service was from Etrailer
