When you’re towing heavy gear or covering long distances, you want a tire that can take the strain. The Rambler ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire has a Load Range D rating with an 8-ply construction and handles up to 2,540 lbs at 65 psi. It’s engineered for highway use and meets DOT specifications, so you can count on it to hold up mile after mile without overheating or wearing unevenly.
Heat is the enemy of tread life, especially on long hauls in summer conditions. This Rambler radial has an M speed rating of 81 mph and uses double steel belts with double polyester cords to keep it cool and stable at higher speeds. The nylon overlay helps prevent tread separation, giving you a confident, smooth ride when you’re towing down the interstate.
Radial ply design keeps the cords positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel, which means less internal friction and less rolling resistance than bias tires. That design helps extend tread life and improves tracking on the road. It’s a sturdy setup made specifically for trailers that need both strength and long-term dependability.

You don’t need to guess when it’s time for a replacement. Tread bars built into the surface give a quick visual check of wear, while the reinforced sidewalls are strong enough to handle heavy hauling duty without flexing too much. Every bit of it is designed for trailer use, not passenger vehicles, so you get durability where it counts most.
This tire fits 15" diameter wheels and uses a standard ST225/75R15 size. It’s ready to deliver dependable performance on trailers that see frequent use—weekend trips or everyday hauls alike—backed by a 2-year limited warranty for peace of mind.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Taskmaster Rambler ST 225/75R15 Radio Trailer Tire in a load range D. Now, this is a radial ply tire. It's great for highway use. Uses double steel belts and double polyester cords that combine for a nice long life and they do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay around the tire to help prevent tread separation. This tire is designed to fit onto 15 inch diameter wheels, the tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall.
All right, here you can see ST for special trailer, 225/75R15. The R lets you know that it is a radial tire, has a load range D, which means it's an eight fly radial tire. Maximum load capacity is 2,540 pounds at 65 PSI. And all the new trailer tires do come through with speed ratings on 'em now, and the way you can tell is the speed rating. They stamp it on the sidewall and it's by a letter designation.
And where you find that is right after the size, you'll see two numbers for the load index and then the letter M, speed rating M means this has an 81 mile per hour speed rating. Now, the tread design on this, it is a standard tread, has nice solid continuous ribs, and there's very few sipes or cuts into the rubber. The sipes are what help with bad weather by breaking up any water underneath the tire. But because these tires are designed for use on trailers, they don't require the level of traction that's you're needed on a vehicle that has braking or steering. This is an ST tire, which is a special trailer tire, has the sturdy sidewalls so that it can handle heavy loads, which means it's created specifically for trailers.
It's not intended for use on other vehicles. And this tire does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications and will exceed your federal motor vehicle safety standards. But that should do it for the review of the Taskmaster Rambler ST 225/75R15 Radio Trailer Tire in a load range D.
Ratings & Reviews
Not much tread
Excellent. Fast, reliable and professi onal!
These tires are absolutely mint and there going to be holding 500 gallon of water I used to have a 6 ply lol so these should be just great can’t wait to get weight in the trailer and drive it around
Everything looks great. I think the tires may be a bit large for my application. I’m assuming these tires will fit on the rims I purchased but if not, how do I go about sending them back and getting a refund.
Was the perfect fit for my pop up trailer. Took them on a long drive and so far no problems. Smooth ride.
Nice tire.
I only had about 400 miles on these tires when I picked up a piece of road debris. I went ahead and ordered a new tire and had the other patched for future use as a spare. So far (other than the puncture) I love these tires much better than the OEM 6 ply set. I have a 34' Travel Trailer that weighs 6,900lb when dry.
Delivery was on time as planned and placing the order was simple
I bought tires and they
came in the mail. Awesome job guy.
I selected this tire to replace old the 5.30-12 bias ply tires that were on my small utility trailer that I converted to haul Kayaks. I felt the radial option was preferable in terms of load and speed range of 81 mph compared to the bias ply limitation of 65 mph.
With these tires I feel more confident hitting the road for our next river trip. I’ll try to provide an update once I have some miles on these tires.
Nice upgraded tire. Excellent quality.
we shall see once i place a load in my trailer
It will be better load rating for my little aluminum boat, I’ll have it installed tomorrow, will will be awesome. Thanks ya all.

Good tires, fast shipping
Very good communication from the start. Clear pricing, stock status, delivery time, and invoicing. Arrived in 2 days well packaged (in a box, not crushed by banding). Mounted them an hour later no issues. Hope these tires serve me as well as the service was from Etrailer
I needed an affordable yet quality spare tire for our car hauling trailer. I am impressed with the ratings and quality of this tire. The price was very competitive, too. My full order was eligible for free shipping, a big bonus.
