Features to know about

Built for Heavy Loads and Long Hauls: Load Range G with 81-mph Speed Rating

This tire-and-wheel combo is made to handle serious weight while keeping a steady ride at highway speeds. The Triangle ST235/85R16 radial tire has a 14-ply rating and supports up to 4,400 lbs at 110 psi. Rated M for 81 mph, it’s ready for long-distance towing without breaking a sweat. The all-steel belts add strength and help extend tread life on the road.

All-Steel Radial Construction for Lasting Durability

When you’re rolling heavy or far, construction matters. This special trailer radial uses all-steel belts and premium rubber compounds for better traction and longer tread life in wet or dry conditions. Its radial design reduces heat buildup and rolling resistance, so it runs cooler and lasts longer than bias designs—ideal for continuous highway use.

Corrosion-Resistant Style: Black Aluminum Mesh Wheel with Clear Coat

Moisture, salt, and grime are no match for this wheel’s finish. The 16" x 7" aluminum wheel is durable, lightweight, and rustproof, with a clear-coated black finish that protects both the front and back from scuffs and scratches. The mesh design adds a clean, modern look that stays sharp season after season.

Ready to Mount with the Strength You Need

This tire-and-wheel assembly comes sized right and ready for the job. The wheel features an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern, a 4.90" pilot diameter, and a 0 offset. Wheel capacity matches the tire at 4,400 lbs for balanced performance across the whole setup. It’s a DOT-compliant assembly that combines strength, precision fitment, and easy installation.

Peace of Mind on Every Trip: 1-Year Worry-Free Guarantee

Tires take abuse on real roads, but this one’s backed by coverage you can count on. If it’s damaged in any way within the first 12 months, it’s replaced at no charge. That’s a straightforward promise to keep you rolling without second-guessing your equipment.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Video Transcript for Triangle ST235/85R16 Heavy-Duty Radial Tire w/ 16" Black Mesh Wheel Feature Review

Hello neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at our Triangle ST235/85R16 Heavy Duty Radial Tire with a nice 16-inch black mesh wheel. Now folks, this nice tire and wheel assembly is ideal for your stock trailers, utility trailers, campers, and it has that nice matte black aluminum Sendel wheel. It has what they call a mesh design. It's very appealing. It's a lightweight yet rust proof.

And it has a nice clear coat finish all over the front of that as well. Now the Triangle Heavy Duty Special Trailer Tire is a radial tire. It has a special trailer design, so it's gonna couple the strength of your bias ply tire with the durability and stability of those radial tires. Let me zoom in here on the tread. Now it is created specifically for trailers.

Do not use this on other vehicles, that's not what it's made for. It's got nice all steel belts inside, greatly enhance the durability and extend the tread life as well. That tread there is computer generated for premium tread and it's got a nice rubber compound material that's gonna offer you superior traction on wet and dry conditions alike. This tire assembly does meet all DOT specifications. And the wheel dimension is 16 inch diameter by 7 inches wide.

Now the bolt pattern folks is what they call an 8-lug, so it's an 8 on 6 and 1/2 inch lug pattern. The wheel stud hole size is 1/2 inch dash 20. The capacity of the wheel itself is 4,400 pounds, and the pilot hole diameter here in the middle is 4.9 inches. There's a zero offset and the section width is 9.25. Now if you wanna know the overall diameter side to side, rubber to rubber, it's gonna be 31 and 11/16 inches wide.

It's load range G with a 14 ply rated. And a speed rate of M or 81 miles per hour. Now folks, we do offer you lots of techniques and tricks here. Mine for today is please obey the speed limit. Don't get any tickets, but more importantly, stay safe and stay safe for all the other travelers out there. Again, number one thing that makes tires break down is the heat. So you want to obey those speed ratings and stuff. Nice two year limited warranty and they also come with a one year worry-free guarantee. Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our look at this big heavy duty radial tire. I'm Steve with etrailer.com. Thank you so much for your time, have a great day.
