When the miles stretch long and conditions heat up, this tire-and-wheel combo stays steady. The Kenda Karrier ST205/75R14 radial tire carries a maximum load of 1,925 lbs at 60 psi, backed by a 6-ply rating and an 81-mph (speed rating M) limit for highway use. It meets DOT specifications and runs cooler than bias designs, giving you smoother tracking and better tread life when towing at speed.
Moisture and salt can take their toll, but this wheel resists both. The 14" x 5-1/2" aluminum wheel is durable, lightweight, and rustproof, finished front and back with a clear coat for long-term corrosion resistance. Its 5-spoke machined black design gives any rig a clean, updated look without adding extra weight.
The Kenda Karrier radial design keeps rolling smooth whether you’re on highways or rougher pavement. Its 5-rib tread pattern wears evenly while silica-infused rubber and angled sipes help reduce hydroplaning and maintain traction in wet conditions. You get dependable handling and less heat buildup for confident towing on every trip.
This combination is built to work as a system. The wheel capacity is 2,200 lbs with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, 3.19" pilot diameter, and 0 offset for straightforward mounting using 1/2"-20 bolts. Together they deliver balanced strength and durability for real-world hauling—strong enough to support heavy loads while keeping the ride stable and predictable.
Kenda stands behind this setup with a 5-year warranty on the tire and a limited 2-year warranty on the wheel. That coverage reflects confidence in the materials and construction—so you can roll out knowing your tire-and-wheel assembly is built to last.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Kenda Karrier ST205/75R14 radial trailer tire in a load range C, and it's mounted on this 14-inch Sendel Series T09 black machined aluminum trailer wheel, with the 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now, this tire wheel assembly is ideal for boat trailers, utility trailers, and campers. The wheel is a durable, corrosion-resistant Sendel Series T09 five-spoke aluminum wheel. You can see, it has a black finish, but then the machined finish on the face and the lip. The front and the back of the wheel are clear coated for excellent corrosion resistance.
A few dimensions on the wheel. The diameter is 14 inches. The width on just the wheel is 5 1/2 inches. The bolt pattern on this wheel is a 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel that's an odd number of lugs, what you need to do is pick any hole, let's say this lug hole, and then you're gonna measure across to either one of these lug holes.
But when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of whatever hole you measure to. On this one, it'll measure four and a half inches. So that's a five-lug 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. If you notice, the wheel does not have a center cap. If you want a center cap, we do sell those separately.
You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole. 'Cause when you install it, it'll go through this hole. The diameter on this pilot hole is 3.19 inches. The wheel does use a wheel lug size of a 1/2 inch by 20, and the weight capacity on just the wheel by itself is 2,200 pounds. Now, the tire that's mounted on it is a Kenda Karrier special trailer radial tire.
The special trailer tire design uses double steel belts, full nylon ply, which will combine for superior function and long life. They do use a silica-infused tread. And if you look on the blocks, they will have some cuts in them, and those are called sipes. That'll help reduce hydroplaning, gives you excellent handling off-pavement situations. The ST, which means it's a special trailer tire, has sturdy sidewalls so they can handle heavy loads. And it is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. The tire size, which will be stamped on the tire, ST for special trailer, 205/75R14. The R means that it is a radial tire. Section width on this is eight inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated is 26.3. And we mentioned the tire is a load range C, which means it's a six-ply-rated tire. The maximum load capacity on that is 1,925 pounds at 60 PSI. This assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. And the last thing I wanna mention is it does come with a speed rating on it, and they stamp it on the sidewall, and it's by a letter designation. So right after the tire size, we went over, you'll see two numbers for the load index, and then the letter M. Speed rating M will mean this has an 81 mile per hour speed rating. But that's gonna do it for a look at this Kenda Karrier ST205/75R14 radial trailer tire in a load range C on this 14-inch Sendel Series T09 black machined aluminum trailer wheel.

These tires rim only have 2 trips, less than 100 miles each, on them. 1 of the 4 tires failed slow leak noted on first trip. We determined it was a rim issue. After working with Kendra tire, then etrailer, then Kendra tire, then Kendra rim. A new tire rim set was sent. No issues with the other 3 tires, again only 2 trips on them
