Add another Redarc solar panel to your solar system to increase your charging power and extend your off-grid campout. Multiple-panel solar arrays are most efficient when you use panels with the same wattage, so we recommend adding this to a system with other 80-watt panels. When panels of different wattages are combined, the panel with the larger rating will have its performance reduced.
Be mindful of the amperage and wattage limitations of your solar charge controller, as exceeding those limits may cause the solar array to not function.
Redarc offers multiple options for connecting multiple panels. It's important to understand what effect they will have. If you are unsure of what would work best for you, you should consult an electrician or dealer for professional advice and installation.
Redarc offers Anderson connectors to wire panels in series (RED53VR) or parallel (RED59VR). By wiring your panels in series, you will increase the total panel voltage output. By wiring your panels in parallel, you increase the total amperage. In both cases, you get increased battery charging power going to your solar charge controller. If you increase your total voltage or amperage beyond what your charge controller can handle, it will not function properly. In solar arrays of 4 or 6 panels, you can wire half in series and half in parallel, so neither the volts nor amps exceed your controller's limitations. By being mindful of these options, it can save you the pain of having to buy a more expensive solar charge controller that can handle the increased input.
Redarc also offers MC4 style connectors for wiring panels in parallel (RED78VR). Since the connectors on the panel itself use MC4 connections, this eliminates the need for an MC4 to Anderson adapter and will make for a cleaner install.
For installing panels on the roof of your RV, also remember to get some Redarc Solar Panel corner mounts (RED79VR) and side mounts (RED89VR). The side mounts are especially great for multi-panel arrays, as they hold two panels together at their corners, conserving space on your roof while holding panels securely.

Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we can take a look at this Redarc, 80 watt monocrystalline solar panel. Now this is an 80 watt solar panel that will use the sunlight to charge your batteries. This is designed for fixed mount installation on RVs, vans, or anywhere else you'll need solar power. This panel is designed to work with the Redarc solar charge controllers, the Redarc dual input BCDC chargers, or the Redarc manager 30 - battery management system.
All of those items we do sell separately on our website. Now the model crystalline solar panels have the highest efficiency rates. Typically in the 15 to 20% range. And the high efficiency rate means that they produce more power per square foot, and they're therefore more space efficient. This one does use a nice tempered glass coating.
And if you look on the back, it has a nice aluminum frame that'll help withstand harsh road and weather conditions. And if we zoom in to show you the connectors here, it does use the MC4 connectors. Provide a nice, quick, easy setup, just a plug and play. Each cable length is 35 inches. Now this is manufactured to CE standards.
I do want to give you a few dimensions on this. If we do the length of this, is going to be right at 27 and a 1/2 inches long, the width is going to be right at 26 and a 1/4 inches. And the depth of this is only going to be right about 1 and 3/8 inches deep. Now, a few specs on this. The rated peak power is 80 Watts.
Maximum system voltage is 600 volts DC. Maximum power current is four amps. Maximum power voltage, 20 volts. Does have an operating temperature range of negative 40 degrees Fahrenheit to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. And the weight of this panel is only about 11 and a 1/2 pounds. That's not too bad. Now this is an 80 watt panel. We do also sell these in a 50 watt size, 120 watt, 180 watt and 200 watt panels. But again, just to show you the back, here's your junction box, your positive negative connectors, and you just plug it in and you're all ready to go. But that should do it for the review on the Redarc, 80 watt monocrystalline solar panel..

Expand your Redarc solar array with an additional 80-watt panel to charge your batteries faster and enjoy an off-grid campout longer. Connects to your solar setup with included MC4 connectors. If you do a lot of remote camping, this works really well. Combined with a BCDC charger, this is the ultimate batery charging system.
Have just return from a camping trip with the solar panel installed. It worked great. Had full batteries during the day while running my refrigerator. My overall purchase experience was excellent. William took care of the issue I had with the first panel which I received that was slightly damaged in shipping. He arranged a replacement which arrived in time for my trip. Installation was easy and very secure. Looking forward to this year which will included long trips to hot locations and I will be using my freezer to enjoy ice cream. Thanks!
Paul is awesome
