When running a tandem or triple-axle setup, the center hanger takes the brunt of the work. This 3-1/2" tall center hanger is built to suspend the equalizer securely between axles rated from 3,500 lbs up to 9,000 lbs. It gives your suspension a strong, steady mid-point that keeps the system aligned and the ride consistent when loaded or rolling over rough ground.
Getting the right fit between the spring and hanger is key for proper travel and wear. This hanger is sized for 2" wide slipper springs and has an internal width of 3". That extra space lets the spring move freely without binding, so the suspension can flex the way it should.
A solid pivot keeps everything tight and predictable. This center hanger is designed to use a 7/8" diameter bolt (sold separately) to mount the equalizer. The fit is snug and strong, giving the hardware a solid anchor point that won’t shift under load.
Whether the setup is tandem or triple-axle, this hanger is configured to handle both. It provides the proper mounting height and geometry for multi-axle equalizers, keeping the axles sharing the load evenly. Today we're going to take a look at the 3 1/2 inch tall center hanger for 2 inch wide slipper springs. Now this center hanger is designed to work with multi axle trailer suspension systems that have 2 inch wide slipper springs. This hanger will provide the attachment point for the equalizer. The hanger suspends the equalizer on tandem and triple axle trailers. This is designed for trailers with 3,500 pound up to 9,000 pound axles, and again it does fit 2 inch wide slipper springs. This is designed to work with the 7/8 inch diameter bolt, we do sell them separately on our website. When they give the height on this hanger they say 3 1/2 inches, and what that's measured from is the center of the bolt hole to the top of the hanger.
If we put a ruler on it you can see that's the 3 1/2 inches. Now I do want to give you some overall dimensions on this hanger. The overall height from the very bottom to the very top is going to be right at 4 1/2 inches tall. The width on it, edge to edge, is going to be right at 3 5/8 inches wide. The depth on it is going to be right at 3 inches, and then the inside width right here where the equalizer would go is going to be 3 1/8 inches.
