Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 2 3/16 inch long rubber bushing with the steel sleeve. Now, this rubber bushing has a steel sleeve in it, it's designed for use with the trailer suspension systems, and this is a leaf spring bushing, it's a component that's fitted to the end of the leaf spring, so that the leaf spring can be properly secured in place. The bushing you could see is a cylinder shape, so they could fit snuggly into the end of the leaf spring. Basically, you'll insert this bushing into the eye of the leaf spring to ensure proper sizing for the suspension bolt that goes through here, and this bushing will provide some shock absorbing cushion to help make the ride smoother. Few specs on this I wanna give you, we're gonna first measure the inner diameter that the suspension bolt will go through, so the inside diameter is gonna be right at 5/8 of an inch, the outside diameter from this part to this part, it's gonna be right at 1 3/8 inches, and the total length from one end to the other is gonna be right at 2 3/16 of an inch.
But that should do it for the review on this 2 3/16 inch long rubber bushing with the steel sleeve..

Leaf spring bushings were a perfect fit for my dexter 8k springs. etrailer having fractional dimensions listed instead of metric was a decidiing factor in ordering. I installed them myself and the bushings corrected wheel alignment on my 28ft gooseneck I use to haul a compact track loaded and excavator with.

Bought to replace the worn out bushing on the springs of my Take3 48ft Car Hauler with 7k axles. I was able to find a kit of parts on E-Trailer, and confirm this fit the springs that I had. The center of my spring eyelets gets slightly narrower in the middle. I used fresh engine oil to coat the eyelet and bushing, and used the old bolt and nut in the bushing to the eye hole on a large crescent wrench on the other side of the eye to slowly crank in with a ratchet to seat. I plan on buying more to replace all my bushing when I get the chance. I used with new bolt hardware 7-181-6-38.
