The multiple leaves flex together to absorb shock and protect your trailer frame from the pounding of rough roads. Each leaf is 7/16" thick and built from sturdy steel, giving the setup the backbone it needs for long-haul durability.
When the road gets uneven, this 30-1/2" long spring keeps the trailer level and steady. The design lets the axle move just enough to cushion bumps so gear inside stays put and wear on the trailer is reduced. The flat-end slipper design slides neatly into its hanger or equalizer, keeping motion controlled and consistent mile after mile.
A worn-out bushing can cause noise and sloppy movement. This spring comes ready with a bronze bushing pressed into the 3/4" eye. The bronze surface resists wear and gives a smooth pivot point for the suspension bolt, so the spring can move freely without grinding down over time.
Each spring measures 2-1/2" wide for a solid fit with standard hangers and hardware. The steel construction stands up to repeated flexing and heavy use, keeping your suspension geometry right where it needs to be. Replace both springs as a pair for proper axle alignment and a suspension that tracks straight and true.

Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Dexter 30 1/2 inch long five-leaf slipper spring with the flat end for a 10,000 pound trailer axle. Now, this slipper leaf spring will act as part of your trailer's suspension system. Provides the attachment point for your trailer's axle. It does have multiple leaves that allow flexibility, absorb road and shock.
The number of leaves on this one is five leaves. It allows for a nice, smooth ride, it'll reduce wear and tear on your trailer, and it ensures a nice, level ride on bumpy and uneven surfaces. Now, to install this, it does require pre-mounted hangers or an aftermarket hanger kit for installation. Those items, we do sell separately on our website. The eye in the spring right here attaches to the hanger that's mounted on your trailer frame.
And the slipper end right here is what'll slide into your hanger or equalizer. This is a sturdy steel construction. This does use a bronze bushing, which is included. And the eye diameter with that bushing installed is 3/4 of an inch. Few specs on this, this is for a quantity of one leaf spring.
The spring capacity itself is 5,000 pounds. The axle capacity it fits on is a 10,000 pound axle. And I wanna give you a few measurements on this. First measurement is gonna be the length, which is measured from the center of the spring eye to the very end of the spring. So, if I hold a ruler in the center, go to the very end, you can see it's gonna be right at 30 1/2 inches total length.
The axle location, in other words, when this is installed, the axle will be right in the middle here. So, the measurement for the axle location is the center of the eye, again, to the center or middle of the spring. That's gonna be right at 13 1/2 inches. And the spring width on this is 2 1/2 inches. Usually you are completely on top of your game. This time my company is slightly disappointed in the timeframe of events. We stock checked all parts prior to ordering but then found out after the order was placed some were not in stock. Nobody reached out to let us know the parts were out of stock or asked if we would like to have the rest of the order shipped while waiting for the remaining out of stock items.
