Big axles need strong mounting points that won’t flex or shift. This spring seat welds onto a 5" diameter round axle—typical of 10,000-lb to 15,000-lb setups—and works with 2-1/2" wide leaf springs. Once installed, it locks the axle and spring together in the right position for consistent suspension performance under heavy loads.
Axle alignment can wander if the spring seat isn’t secure. The flat side of this seat has a hole cutout that surrounds the raised knob on the leaf spring so it can’t twist or slide out of place. That small detail makes a big difference in keeping the trailer tracking straight and the suspension moving the way it should.
A properly positioned axle means smoother towing and even tire wear. By adding extra support under the spring, this seat helps the suspension hold its geometry over time. It keeps the axle centered and the spring seated firmly so the ride stays steady mile after mile.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at this spring seat for 5" round 10,000 pound to 15,000 pound trailer axles. This spring seat is a necessary component of your trailer suspension system. When this is mounted with a 2 1/2" wide leaf spring, it is going to add extra support and provide proper positioning for your axle. This is designed to weld onto a round, 5" in diameter axle, which are typically the 10,000 pound to 15,000 pound size axles. As I mentioned earlier, this works with 2 1/2" wide springs. The hole cutout that you see here on the flat side of this seat is going to surround the raised knob on your leaf spring, preventing it from turning or shifting.
