A stable suspension starts with a solid axle mount. This spring seat welds onto a 5" diameter round axle, the size typically used on 10,000- to 15,000-lb axles. It gives your 3" wide leaf spring the right perch and keeps the axle positioned exactly where it should be. The steel seat adds strength to the suspension setup so the trailer tracks straight and carries heavy loads with confidence.
The flat side of the seat has a cutout that fits around the raised knob on the leaf spring. That simple detail makes a big difference — it keeps the spring from turning or sliding under heavy use. The result is steadier tracking, even when braking hard or rolling over uneven ground.
Each axle needs two spring seats for proper alignment — one for each side. When installed as a pair, they distribute the load evenly across the axle and springs. That balance helps protect the suspension from uneven wear and keeps the trailer level mile after mile.

Jeff Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this spring seat for a five inch round, 10,000 pound to 15,000 pound trailer axle. Now the spring seat is a necessary component on your trailer suspension system. When this is mounted with a three inch wide leaf spring, it adds the extra support, provides proper positioning for your axle. This is designed to weld onto a round, five inch diameter axle, which are typically the 10,000 to 15,000 pound size axles.
And as we mentioned, it is designed to work with three inch wide springs. The hole cut out right here on the middle of this seat will surround the raised knob on your leaf spring. So your leaf spring will go underneath there and that knob'll go right through there to hold it in. Helps prevent turning or shifting. This will provide extra support and secure positioning for your trailer axle.
Now, one note is two of these spring seats are required for one axle. But that should do it for the review on the spring seat for the five inch round, 10,000 pounds of 15,000 pound trailer axles..
