When your trailer hits uneven pavement or dips, the suspension needs room to move so the load stays steady. This 6" long triangular equalizer connects your 1-3/4" wide double-eye springs and transfers impact between the axles for a smoother ride. By allowing movement between the springs, it evens out weight shifts so your trailer glides instead of jolts.
Trailers see a lot of water, dirt, and road grime. This equalizer is made of galvanized steel that stands up to corrosion and rust. It keeps its strength and shape even after miles of exposure, so you don’t have to worry about deterioration shortening its life.
Getting things to line up right the first time makes installation simpler. The equalizer fits 1-3/4" wide double-eye springs with 9/16" spring eyes and uses 9/16" center and shackle bolt holes. That standard sizing means it pairs cleanly with common hardware like shackle straps and center hangers (sold separately) for a secure mount.
Every detail matters when you’re keeping suspension movement smooth. This equalizer comes with nylon bushings already pressed in for easy assembly and quiet operation. The bushings can also be swapped out for bronze if you’re upgrading to a heavy-duty wet-bolt setup.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the CE Smith six inch long triangular equalizer for the one and three quarter inch wide double I springs. This part has a galvanized finish to it. Now this is gonna let you connect your double I springs on dual or triple axle trailers. Basically the springs are gonna attach to the ends of the equalizer with shackle straps, and then the equalizer itself is suspended from the center hanger. This will help transfer loads and sudden impacts from one axle to another by permitting movement between those axles, distributes weight evenly, which will result in a nice smooth ride for your trailer.
Now we mentioned the galvanized finish you can see on this steel part, this is gonna help resist corrosion when used in marine applications like on your boat trailer. Now we mentioned it fits one and three quarter inch wide double I leaf springs with the 19th inch diameter spring eyes. The center bolt hole and the hangar bolt holes have the bushings already in it, and their nine 16ths inch diameter. A few measurements I wanna give you is the overall length, which is gonna be measured from this bolt hole, center of this bolt hole to the center of this one. So you can see if we put a ruler on this, center to center, that's right at six inches.
The height is gonna be measured from the center of these holes to the center of the shackle bolt hole. And that you're gonna see is right at about four inches.
