When your trailer’s suspension mounts wear out, it can throw the whole setup off balance. This CE Smith hanger brings back that solid connection point. It’s a weld-on steel bracket that suspends your double-eye leaf spring securely from the frame, keeping the suspension geometry tight and the trailer feeling steady over bumps and turns.
Getting the right fit matters for smooth movement and even wear. This hanger is sized for 1-3/4" wide double-eye springs with 9/16" diameter eyes and uses a 9/16" diameter bolt (sold separately). The height from the top of the hanger to the center of the bolt hole is 1-7/16", giving the spring just the right amount of drop for proper articulation and clearance.
Whether you’re rebuilding or upgrading, this bracket adapts easily. It can be used as either a front or rear hanger on tandem- or triple-axle trailers, or as a front hanger on a single-axle setup. That flexibility makes it a handy piece for both fresh builds and repairs where space and alignment have to match the original layout.
At 2" tall and 3" deep, this hanger keeps a low profile while offering plenty of strength. The 1-7/8" inner width gives the spring room to move without binding, and the simple weld-on design means it stays exactly where it should under load. It’s a straightforward, durable solution that restores confidence in your suspension.

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this CE Smith Double-Eye Spring Hanger Bracket. This is gonna weld onto your trailer frame and provide the attachment point for your leaf springs. This can be configured to work as either a front or a rear hanger on a tandem or triple axle application, or if you're gonna use it on a single axle trailer, it's only gonna be able to be used as a front hanger. So if you are needing to replace or add a double-eye spring hanger bracket for your trailer, this is gonna be a great way to go for you. Give you a few dimensions here, make sure it's gonna fit where you want it to.
You can see this does have an overall depth of about three inches. Our height, we're looking at approximately two inches tall. I can get the angle right for you there, so you can see it is two inches tall. Our inner width, we're sitting right at 1 7/8 of an inch, just shy of two inches wide, so this is gonna fit your 1 3/4 inch wide double-eye springs. The height from the top of our bracket down to the center of our bolt hole there, we're gonna be sitting right about just shy of 1 1/2 inches, call it 1 7/16 of an inch.
This is a 9/16 inch diameter hole there, so it is going to work with your 9/16 inch diameter bolts. And this is made here in the USA, so you can trust it is gonna be excellent quality for you, ready to get welded on and support that spring. So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
