Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at the CE Smith aluminum frame strap. Now this is going to be used with a u bolt to secure your accessories to your trailer frame. This is of aluminum construction, so it's gonna be very lightweight yet sturdy, very durable, obviously rust proof. So this is going to be ideal for maybe your snowmobile trailers or boat trailers, anything like that that's gonna be exposed to water.
It's gonna hold up really well for you and do a great job for you. Let me get my ruler here and go over some measurements that are gonna be helpful for you. So looking at the overall length, we are sitting right at five and one eighth inches. Looking at the width, right at one and a half inches. Lemme see if I can show that bolt hole diameter, that might be kind of tricky.
I'm gonna say it's that 9/16ths of an inch. The thickness, three eighths of an inch. And then let me see if I can show you the bolt holes here or the holes rather on center. Looks like we're sitting pretty close to three and five eights inches on center. I bought these for installing a drain hose storage tube on my travel trailer bumper. They are beefy and true to published dimensions.
On 11/24/17 I ordered (1) A04-5094BK Valterra adjustable RV sewer hose carrier and (3) CE Smith aluminum frame straps. I was hesitant about placing this order after reading some reviews that stated longer than expected delivery times. This was not a big issue for me and the price for the same items were less than other suppliers on the internet, including qualifying for Free Shipping. The Hose Carrier was exactly what I was looking for. The Frame Straps far exceeded and were heaver than my expectations. Much to my surprise these items arrived on 11/30/17 in excellent shape. The straps I bought are very well made using a thick aluminum. I bought these to secure a hose carrier to my RV. I havent used them yet, but I know they will be just what I need. Good job etrailer!
