Maintaining a functioning lighting system for your boat trailer is required by law. Make your life simpler by installing lights that you can trust be to be submerged regularly. The housing and lens of this light are sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light to damage the diode or circuit board. Also, a special urethane potting is used to encapsulate the circuit board, further ensuring protection from moisture and dust.
A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light on either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light, as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. Rather than buying side marker and clearance lights separately, you can mount this single, PC-rated light at a 45-degree angle on the front corner of your trailer to act as both.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this TecNiq Recessed Mount Mini Amber LED Clearance or Side Marker Trailer Light with the Rubber Grommet. Now, as you can see, this is a small, one inch round LED light, that'll serve as a front side marker and clearance light for your trailer. It is a PC rated light, which means it produces 180 degrees of amber light to indicate the position of your trailer. This is a sealed waterproof unit.
It includes a nice, durable polycarbonate housing, and a UV resistant lens. Makes it submersible. Does use military grade construction of the circuit board, and it offers urethane potting, which offers better protection than the common epoxy potting. And it is a premium LED. It's energy efficient, long lasting, and vibration resistant.
It is rated for up to a hundred thousand hours of operation. Now, I do have this hooked to some 12 volt power, just so we can turn on the power and show you how bright it is. So when I'm go ahead and switch on the 12 volt power. You'll see the amber light come on. And if we turn off our overhead light, you can see how bright that light is.
And again, it's an amber lens, over one amber LED. It is compatible with our 12 volt DC system. We'll go ahead and turn back on our light, turn off our power. It is a recessed mount installation. It includes the rubber grommet.
It does require a three quarter inch diameter cutout for this to fit into. The connectors. Let just disconnect our power. And you'll see on the other end, they use these bullet connectors that'll plug into your trailer's matching connectors. Total length of the wire on this is about nine inches. Now, this will meet or exceed the Federal Motor Behicle Safety Standards 108 Standards. A few specs on it. The diameter, including the grommet. If we put a ruler on, you can see is right at one inch. The depth of it, or thickness, is right about seven eighths of an inch. And the dimension without the grommet will be the same thickness or depth of seven eighths of an inch, but the light is only about three quarters of an inch wide. Now, the input voltage is nine volts to 14 volts, and the power draw is .03 to .06 amps. But that's gonna do it for the review on this TecNiq Recessed Mount Mini Amber LED Clearance or Side Marker Trailer Light with the Rubber Grommet.
