Good visibility keeps you safer on the road, and this 2-3/16" round red reflector is built for that job. It meets FMVSS “A” requirements, so it provides the brightness and reflectivity needed for proper rear, side, or front marking. Whether you’re updating lights or adding reflectors for compliance, its strong red reflection helps other drivers see you from a distance in low light.
Made from tough Polymethyl methacrylate, better known as acrylic, this reflector uses the same grade and manufacturing process found in automotive lenses. The material resists cracking and fading, keeping its clarity over time even outdoors. It’s not sealed because it doesn’t need to be—moisture won’t harm the reflector itself. For extra protection on adjoining surfaces, you can always apply a small bead of sealant around the mount.
Mounting this reflector couldn’t be easier. It uses a single surface-mount screw (not included) and has a 1/4" diameter hole with a small 3/8" lip for secure fastening. At just 0.22" thick, it sits nearly flush against the surface for a clean look that doesn’t snag. You can use stainless steel hardware for best durability against the elements.
Once installed, there’s no upkeep to worry about. The reflector maintains its performance season after season and comes backed by a 3-year warranty for added peace of mind. It’s a straightforward way to meet safety requirements while adding lasting visibility to your setup.

Today, we're going to be taking a look at part number RE35RB. This is the Optronics Red Round Trailer Reflector. It's designed to be a surface mount installation, with a single screw through the center hole. Hardware's not included. The reflector is SAE and Department of Transportation compliant. If we take a look at the overall diameter, measuring from edge to edge, it's going to give us a measurement of about 2-3/16 of an inch.
The hole right here in the middle, that's going to give us a diameter of 1/4 of an inch. If you're installing this on a trailer, or something that's really going to be exposed to the elements, it'd be a good idea to use maybe some stainless steel hardware that's going to stand up really well against rust and corrosion. When it comes to the thickness of the reflector, we're looking at .22 inches. It's going to be just shy of 1/4 of an inch. Nice, durable construction, a nice traditional reflector pattern. Again, it has the stamping on it that shows that it's SAE and Department of Transportation compliant.

I restored an 80 year old Roadmaster bicycle. The rear fender reflector was somewhat damaged and deteriorated from being so old. I could not find an original reflector replacement. The mounting required a 2-3/16th inch diameter reflector. I found the RE35RB reflector at etrailer which was just the size needed. This item was very reasonably priced and fit my application perfectly.
