Are Optronics Red and Amber Reflectors Hermetically Sealed

Question:
Do RE35RB and its companion RE35AB have hermetically sealed lenses? These reflectors will be immersed in water each time I launch my boat and I am concerned water will seep between the lens and backup material. Thanks.

The reflectors, # RE35RB and # RE35AB are made of Polymethyl methacrylate better known as acrylic. This is the same grade and manufacturing process as the lenses on vehicles. They aren't exactly sealed per se because they do not have to be. the reflectors you would not have to worry about but if they are attached to something that you do not want water to get to then running some sealant such as # 0160297 in the affected area is the way to go.
