Switching to LED lighting is one of the easiest upgrades you can make for better visibility and lower power use. This 2-1/2" x 1-1/8" oblong light uses two amber LEDs behind a clear lens, producing a clean, bright signal at only 0.046 amps on a 12V system. With no bulbs to replace and no fragile filaments, it lasts up to 50 times longer than old incandescent lights while staying energy-efficient and reliable night after night.
If your setup deals with water, this light is ready for it. The housing and lens are sonically sealed to form a single waterproof unit, making it fully submersible. You don’t have to worry about moisture corroding the contacts or clouding the lens after dunking or driving in the rain—just bright, dependable light every time.
Mounting is quick and clean thanks to the surface-mount design. It lays flat against the trailer surface and secures with two #10 screws (sold separately) spaced 1-7/8" apart center-to-center. The single-wire setup grounds through the mounting hardware, keeping wiring simple and tidy. Its compact 5/8" thickness means it fits neatly even where space is tight.
This P2-rated light throws its beam 45 degrees to each side of centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. That focused pattern makes it ideal as either a clearance or side marker light when properly mounted. It gives off just the right amount of amber light to mark your trailer’s outline clearly without glare or wasted output.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Optronics submersible mini amber LED clearance or side marker light. This oblong trailer light is going to function as a clearance or side marker light when it's properly mounted. And as you can see, I do have this connected to my power source already, and even with my bright studio lights on, you can see just how bright this light is going to be. But to give you a better demonstration of what this is going to look like, let me shut my studio lights off and I'm gonna go back to my wide view here real quick.
And even from that distance, you can see just how bright this is going to be. I'm gonna shine it on my wall behind me there and then back towards the camera. Go back to a closeup view here. So this is, this features two amber LEDs. It's underneath a clear lens.
And as you probably know, LEDs can last up to 50 times longer than your typical incandescent lights. They're more efficient. They provide brighter light with less power output. There's no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments. Speaking of power, the power draw at 12 volts is gonna be 0.046 amps.
So this is not going to be drawing a lot of power at all. There is a lifetime warranty on the LEDs and this features a durable polycarbonate housing and lens. The waterproof construction of this light is gonna make it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like your boat trailer. The housing and lens are actually sonically sealed together to create a single unit. So what this means is water is not going to get into the light and damage of the diodes or the circuit board.
And this is a P2 rated light, meaning it produces a 45 degree angle of light to either side of its center line for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. So this beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it can't be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it can't be used as both. If you do need both functions, then you must install two separate lights on your trailer. One as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light. As you saw, this is a single wire design that's going to ground through the mounting hardware as you can see there. And this is going to be a surface mount to your trailer. I do wanna point out that hardware is not included, but this will mount with two number 10 screws, which are sold separately. Let me retrieve my ruler here and just go over some dimensions just so you have a good idea of the size so you can be sure this is going to work for you. So looking at the overall length of the light, we're sitting really close to two and a half inches. And then looking at the height, we're sitting right at about slightly over an inch, maybe 1 1/8 inch tall. And then the thickness, looks like we're sitting pretty close to maybe 5/8 of an inch thick. And then the distance between those mounting holes might be good for you to know. Let's see if I can line that up so you can see without the glare. So it looks like we're sitting right at about 1 7/8 inches on center between those mounting holes. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our brief look today. Good quality is better than the one I'm replacing. The lead wire could have been a little longer which would have made it a little quicker and easier to install.

Love my clearance lights and they match the ones on the trailer. Very bright and easy to hook up. If I need more etrailer is the place that I will shop. I'm very happy with all of their products so far.
Bought these to add a couple of additional lights on my horse trailer. Worked great and look good. Came back recently to buy several more to replace the front lights on the same trailer so they all natch only to find them unavailable. Looked everywhere and could not find them. Ended up buying the same light in a two wire version which I really didn’t want because now I have to wire in the ground wire and the wiring inside the trailer is enclosed so this is going to add a bunch more work. Was really bummed.
The product has apparently changes. The part number is the same as what I purchased in the past but these are NOT the same marker light, they are cheap knock-offs. Not even close to the same light. See attached picture, the one on the left is what this part number used to be, the one on the right is the cheap replacement that was sent. Will be returning. It’s too bad I can no longer get the same quality light to match the others on my trailer.
