This 3/4" round Uni-Lite uses a single red LED that shines bright while drawing only 0.052 amps at 12.8V. It’s PC rated for a full 180 degrees of light coverage, meaning it works as both a clearance light and a side marker when mounted properly. The LED lasts up to 50 times longer than traditional bulbs and doesn’t have fragile filaments to burn out or break, so you get strong, reliable light with less power use and no bulb changes.
If your trailer sees rain or even full submersion, this light is built for it. The housing and red lens are sonically sealed into a single waterproof unit that keeps moisture out completely. Whether you’re backing into the water or driving through storms, the sealed design protects the diode and circuitry from corrosion so the light stays dependable over time.
Visibility makes all the difference for safety on the road. With its PC rating, this light casts a clear 180-degree beam that can be seen from the front and both sides. That wide coverage ensures other drivers spot your trailer early, improving awareness and reducing the chance of an accident in low-light conditions.
Sometimes space is limited. At just 3/4" in diameter and 15/16" long, this compact round light tucks in neatly without sticking out where something can catch it. It mounts recessed using the included black PVC grommet and only needs an 11/16" hole for installation. The simple 2-wire pigtail—one for power, one for ground—makes wiring quick and straightforward on any 12V or 24V DC system.
The housing and lens are made of tough polycarbonate that stands up well to impacts and vibration. That durability means fewer worries about cracking or breaking even with regular use on rough terrain or heavy-duty trailers. Once installed, it’s a low-maintenance light built to last for years of reliable service.

Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff @ etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this Uni-Lite round LED clearance and side marker light with the grommet and the red lens. Now, this is a nice small round LED trailer light that'll serve as a side marker and clearance light when it's properly mounted. It has a sonically sealed waterproof housing and lens unit, which makes it submersible. Does use an LED and it'll make a great replacement for the incandescent lights.
LEDs last about 50 times longer. They're more efficient because they'll provide brighter light with less power output. And of course no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments to break. And these do have a limited lifetime warranty on the LEDs. It is a durable polycarbonate lens and housing. It's a red lens with one red LED.
Now this light is compatible with 12 volt and 24 volt DC systems. Now for demonstration of how bright the light is at the end of this video, I am going to hook it up to some 12 volt power to show you. It is a recessed mount, and it includes this black PVC grommet. Now, when you do install this, it will require 11/16 inch diameter hole for installation. If you notice it's a two wire pigtail and includes both the power lead and the ground wire. This light is DOT, Department of Transportation compliant.
It does meet the Federal Motor Vehicle safety standards 108 and the Canadian Motor Vehicle safety standard requirements for automotive lighting. This is PC rated.A few dimensions on this. The diameter on the light itself is going to be right at three quarters of an inch. Total length on it is about 15/16 of an inch. And as I mentioned, the grommet diameter is 11/16 of an inch.
Power draw at 12.8 volts, and this is 0.052 amps. So what we're going to do is go ahead and hook some power up. Our ground and black should be our power. And turn on our 12 volt power and you can see the light comes on. Go ahead and turn off our overhead light, and you can see that one single LED gives off a nice bright light and turn back on overhead light. Turn off our power. But that should do it for the review on this Uni-Lite round LED clearance and side marker light with the grommet and the red lens.
Ratings & Reviews
They are low profile in the day, and very functional in the night with their brightness. I did not expect them to be this good. I wired them as marker lights for my rear fenders.
I’ve been dealing with etrailer since 2011 and buying these lights for just as long. This is my third vehicle that I have equipped with these lights so I know first hand they are meant to last , and I would not buy them any place else but etrailer because they stand buy their products and their customer service is second to none in an era where customer service barely exists anymore
Love these l.e.d. lights. Had seen exact same lights on a new truck at work and wanted them for my personal truck. Found them here on etrailer at a great price. They are really bright for such a small light and low current draw. Simple, fast install.
Great customer/sales representative, Michelle! She was awesome! She crossed referenced another number, not exactly a high volume or priced item. But she treated me like I was spending a million bucks. Also, she sent me multiple emails so I could track my package, receipt, and a thank you! All that for about a $10 order. I’ll never buy from anyone else. Thanks etrailer and Michelle.
I installed these on my home built teardrop. Worked out very well. Total current draw is under 400 mA for all lights.
These are really nice marker lights. Nice and bright.
These are really nice marker lights. Nice and bright.
Awesome little light! Very bright! Fits snug in a 3/4" hole. These worked perfectly for my running light project on the air dam. Ordered these on a Sunday, they were at my door on Thursday. Excellent customer service Etrailer! (Side note, the lights behind the grill are 4" round, not the 3/4")
Extremely happy with customer service and all products I have purchased from etrailer.
I ordered these light to be used as accent light on a new lift table for my company. I needed low profile and fairly bright red light to be reflected off our off-white power coat. These little lights out preformed what we were hoping for. The only thing I don't like about them is the instructions say to drill a 11.16" hole. Assembly was WAY too tight at that dimension. So we stepped it up a fraction at a time and found that 17/64" (.73) and 3/4" (.75) were perfect. Even at 3/4" the grommet was snug and water tight. The light had to be squeezed into place but at 11/16" I felt like I was about to brake the light.
Overall I am super pleased with the lights. We added them to the Bill of Materials and we will be ordering them for these new carts.
I have purchased lights from etrailer several times and the service and quality have been great. I have purchased lights for my truck and also have used there submersible lights for my boat trailer.
lights have been in service for over a year and still bright as the first day I installed them.
Shipping was slow, but I can't complain much considering it was free!
I chopped the fenders on my 2008 Jeep Wrangler, which involved removing the side marker lights. I installed a pair of these DOT approved lights to meet inspection requirements.
As for the lights, they are well-constructed and very bright. Installation was difficult; even after drilling and deburring a 11/16" hole, the grommet barely fit in. I had to put a small amount of grease on the light's lateral surfaces before the light would slide into the grommets.
Overall, I am very pleased with the product. Poison Spyder sells an inferior product at several times the price; I am glad I found these here!
Very well built, sturdy and totally sealed against moisture. I installed these into the top of my Haulmark enclosed trailer to act as clearance lights. Installation was a breeze, I just drilled a 3/4" hole with a step bit, wired all five lights together and tied it into the running lights of the trailer's harness. I put the ground against the steel frame. I went a step further and put a bead of clear marine grade silicone around the light to ensure no moisture makes it inside the trailer despite these being a tight fit. As you can see from the pictures, installation is clean and they're very bright, both day and night! I put one on either end, 6" from the sides and the three middles ones are spaced 10" apart. Similar to the clearance lights on a truck, I didn't use a template, just winged it.
Great little running light puck! Easy to install and very bright at night and is even very visible in daylight. Only about an inch in diameter on the outside, you wouldn't think it was much larger from the amount of light they provide.
I actually purchased these lights to use as a side marker light on my Jeep Wranglers after installing after market fenders. Lights have worked fantastic up to this point
Perfect fit. Fast shipping
These were designed as a clearance light application and at a great price. I bought them to use as turn signal lamps on my RZR. They are high quality and extremely bright when lit, so they work great for both applications. These guys have great parts at a great price and quick shipping. I would recommend them to anyone needing trailer/boat/lighting. Thanks guys.
The lights are perfect as were the previous ones. I’m always doing projects and these are my go to lights for markers and clearance lights.
Great addition to the basic, rear brake lights of a camp trailer.
I added these LED RED to the brake/turn function, within the existing, small holes in the rear bumper--much more apparent when stopping/turning.
These sealed LED lights are very common on larger trucks and trailers now. Easy to install and very robust assembly...priced right!
Great item at a great price. Purchased 4 clear with red (2-diodes) to place in my rear step bumper in place of back up sensors for my older truck used as clearance/running lamps.
Fitment was up to me being had to locate rubber grommets to adapt to these smaller 3/4" lights to the 1 1/8" bumper holes.
I would give these 5 stars but for some reason the black wire is the HOT, while any automotive electrical item I be ever worked on the BLACK was the ground! Opposite here and recommend testing them before you hook up like I did then had to reverse wires..
Silly mistake on my part but why is the black (+) and white (-) ???
Otherwise they're bright and add to my otherwise dark OEM tail lights for increased safety. Pic shown is during daylight!
I have finally finished the install of the great products that I’ve purchased from Etrailer. Curt 24K 5th wheel hitch, the lube discs, the front receiver hitch tube, the Factory 7-way connector and 7 -way extension (I have 3 7-way plugs on my truck) and the countless number of LED lights. The service is amazing and the customer service I received was fabulous. I really like these folks as they were vary knowledgeable about what I was after and pointed me in the right direction to accomplish my end goal. Thanks to everyone at Etrailer. I couldn’t have done it all without you.
I bought a couple more of these two-diode LED clearance lights to add some more lighting to the rear of my kayak trailer. They work nice and are easy to install in 3/4" holes that I drilled through a piece of aluminum angle. The trailer has orange clearance lights on the front sides, red clearance lights on the back sides, the stop/turn/parking lights on the back, three red clearance lights on the back, and a white LED license plate light. It's really lit up and very visible at night from the rear and sides. Thanks to etrailer.com for great products and services!
My wife and I like to kayak, but we don't like to deal with putting our kayaks on roof racks on the top of a car. So I bought a used Load-Rite trailer that was designed to hold one Jet Ski, and added a frame made of slotted angle and 2x6 lumber to hold the kayaks, and a cargo box from Tractor Supply to hold kayak seats, life jackets, towels, sun-protection clothing, and some spare gear (ropes etc), and bought all new LED lighting from etrailer.com. The paddles are too long for the cargo box so they have to go in the car! The kayaks are tied down to the trailer with several ropes front and rear, so there is a lot of safety factor in the design....I don't worry about the kayaks coming off the trailer! The entire rig works great....when we return from a kayak trip we just back the trailer in the barn and it's ready to go for our next trip. I put a 5" diameter wheel on the trailer just behind the hitch so I can push it around on flat level surfaces. See the pictures.
These are excellent lights. Very small and compact with a very bright output. I used these as marker lights on the rear of my pickup, and it made a huge difference in visibility. Being only 3/4", you can install these in a variety of locations and for a multitude of applications. I highly recommend these and will be purchasing more for additional lighting needs.
