Hard stops and heavy loads reveal worn hubs. This ABS-ready Lippert hub and drum comes prepacked with bearings, races, seal, and wheel bolts, saving you time on install and restoring smooth braking and steadier towing you can count on.
You know that split second when traffic ahead suddenly stops and you're forced to slam on your brakes? You glance in the rearview mirror hoping your trailer is stopping, not swaying, skidding, or jackknifing. That's when Lippert's anti-lock braking system earns its keep and this hub and drum are part of that system. The hub's toothy edge works like a tone ring. As it spins, sensors track wheel rotation and feed data to the ABS system, preventing lockup and giving you improved control when braking.

Hi, friends. Andy here with the etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Lippert pre-greased ABS trailer hub and drum assembly. Now, if you're replacing a worn or damaged hub and drum on a trailer with a Lippert ABS system, this assembly is designed to make the job straightforward. Now, this is a direct replacement for your 6,000 pound ABS axles, and it has the casted ABS teeth built right into the hub. So this is going to work properly with the trailer's anti-lock braking system.
This is designed for number 42 spindles, and this does have included the bearings, the races, and the seal, and then everything else that you see here. And I just want to pop up the bearing information there for you. So the inner bearing is going to be 25580, and then the outer bearing that you can see right there is 15123. And then I have the oil seal information there for you as well. So you're going to receive this with the races pressed in, with the bearings in and the seal in, all pre-greased.
And so that's going to help make instillation go a whole lot more smoother. This is going to fit your 12 inch Lippert ABS brake assemblies, and it works with 15 to 16 inch wheels. But like I said, one of the biggest advantages is this does arrive to you pre-assembled, pre-greased, and it's going to be ready to install right out of the box. And this does include the lug nuts. I kind of put them on the bolts there real quick, along with the castle nut, the washer, the cotter pin, and then an easy lube grease cap, so basically everything that you need to do a complete wheel end replacement.
This iron hub and drum features a 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. And individually, it's rated for up to 3,000 pounds. So combined with another one on the other side of your trailer, that's where you're going to get your 6,000 pound trailer axle capacity. By the way, if you don't know how to measure your bolt pattern, on this product page, a little bit lower, we do walk you through step-by-step how you can measure your bolt pattern, in case you didn't know. I think that's going to wrap up our look today.
Again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Fast delivery great to work with
Prices are very good when you consider that the freight is paid. Even the heavy drums were packed well and arrived with no issues in record time. I would do business with them again
Sent me a used burnt up brake drum
Bearings were not sufficiently greased for my liking. Came with a 2.125 grease seal. Had to replace it with a 2.250 for my axle.
Fast shipping from etrailer. Box was battered and partially open upon arrival but nothing was damaged or missing.
Items were well packaged with no shipment damage. Installation was as expected with no issues. Perfect fit.
Cody was great at making sure I had the correct part as I ordered the wrong lug size..
Hub came in excellent condition and ready to mount! The only issue is UPS took extra day to deliver.
Rick D was great, had a question on what I found, and he answered very professionally. Parts were then shipped promptly.
Looks like things are generally okay, but the races were NOT pre-greased prior to dropping the bearing in. This means I need to pull the seals, grease the races, then put in new seals. This is an additional 20 min plus the cost of new seals, just to be able to say these hubs are in condition to mount. I will not give my customers hubs that are under-prepared because I don't want the reputation of having to redo a bearing job.
