Need a nice, dry place to settle down on the ground for a family picnic? This cushy outdoor rug gives you a clean and comfortable place to relax underneath your RV's awning, watch your child's soccer game, or even tailgate before the big game. The rug is also easy to clean, so you can just hose off any sand after a day on the beach and let it air dry.
Soft Material is UV, Mold, and Mildew Resistant
This durable, insulated polypropylene rug works well in any landscape and weather condition, as the material is resistant to UV rays, mold, and mildew. If you're using this rug the day after a rainstorm, the double-layer twill weave will prevent moisture from seeping up from the damp or muddy ground and into your clothes. The material is soft to the touch, so it won't hurt your guests' bare feet, your dog's paws, or your crawling infant's sensitive skin.
Galvanized Stakes Keep the Rug in Place
When you're prepping your RV patio area for a party with friends, spread the rug out where you want it. The rug is reversible, so you can choose between 2 hexagonal, charcoal and gray color patterns. Then slide the included 12 galvanized stakes through the built-in, nickel-plated brass grommets and into the ground. If it's a windy night, these stakes help keep the rug in place so it won't blow away. Or if you're setting this rug up over gravel or concrete, find something heavy to place onto the corners.
And then when you're ready to put the rug away after the party, use the high-visibility yellow sliders to locate and remove the stakes. No more stakes left behind! The rug comes with integrated lines that show you where you need to fold the fabric. Once folded, place it in the included storage bag and slip the stakes into the bag's interior pocket. Or you can use the included stretchy straps to keep the rug together so you can quickly throw it into a closet or storage compartment if you're anxious to get on the road.

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline and today we'll be taking a look at our etrailer RV outdoor rug. So if you got your fifth wheel, you have your motor home, you're ready for a big adventure. This is gonna be a big outdoor rug that just sets the space, makes your base camp, and gives you a nice, sturdy but also comfortable surface. RV mat, outdoor rug, patio mat, whatever you wanna call it, you've probably seen it out at the campsites beside those trailers, beside those campers. Now this is a popular way just to show off your style but also create a nice space for you. You have some unique features to the etrailer RV outdoor rug though, that separates it from some other brands.
We'll talk about it. We'll see if this is a style you prefer, maybe you prefer the others. It's best to know which one is the best one for you though. So three of the main features for this is gonna be this has a lot of stake down points so you can see the grommets all around. You also have two layers of cushion and the material this is made out of is pretty nice.
But also the design. Notice this nice simple geometric design. It's actually reversible. So if you want the brighter side or if you want the darker side, you can pick and choose. This is made of two layers of durable polypropylene but what that actually feels like, let me explain it.
It's kind of like a soft plastic straw. So the two layers of them you have a cushion there where you can feel the air in between the straw-like texture but then you also have that durability of the polypropylene. So then you know that whatever's sitting on it kind of just glides over it and doesn't it caught up in the material. Now it does have that slick texture but it also has a little bit of grip on there. So here with my shoes, I'm not concerned about slipping and sliding on the mat.
That double layer twill is an interesting balance between cushion but also breathability and being lightweight. So some people like different styles of RV rugs. Some people go one way where they want the almost artificial turf style rug that's gonna be a super thick material. It does create good, great cushion, but it's also very heavy and pretty much kills the grass underneath. Or you could go the other way where you can take a look at the aero weave style of a rug. That one is a lot thinner and it's a lot more open when it comes to the weave. But then you can also feel the rocks underneath and grass does peek through and scratch at you. So between those two types, this is a really good balance. Now what type of surface are you planning on using this rug over So for example, we have this pavement here. We've got our parking lot and there's actually some rocky rocks underneath the mat. So for some thinner style mats I would feel the rocks as I sit down very uncomfortable. This is very cushiony though, like I don't feel the rocks. I do feel the indentions of the surface area, but no rocks. In fact, I lost this bag of stakes underneath the rug for a little bit and I was trying to walk around and find them and I couldn't until I lifted up the mat and saw them. That shows how much cushion there is. And on grass you might be concerned about if the blades of grass peep up through the weave or if you can feel like acorns or pine cones or twigs underneath the mat. The weave is tightly woven and the two layers add to the fact that no grass peeks through our weave. We've got this nice solid surface with that cushion on top of our bouncy grass. It was also raining a lot this morning. So we have a lot of mud and condensation underneath our mat. The main concern would be if the water seeps up through the mat too, but sitting on the rug, I don't feel that moisture seeping up through the rug. Now if I put this directly into a puddle, I'd be more concerned, but just sitting on the grass I'm not worried about the water coming up through. Also now, not today because it is overcast but I tried this type of a rug outside in the sun, and even with the sun beating down and the ground getting hot, the mat was surprisingly cool and comfortable. Different campsites have different surfaces too, so we saw it on that concrete, similar to the concrete pad you see or where you set your camper on. And then we see it here on the grass. Grass has its own pros and cons especially moisture and the grass shoots coming up. That's usually what gets people. But another popular surface is gravel. So gravel has its own experience too. You have the small rocks which can get really uncomfortable but you wanna make sure you have enough cushion but a tight weave that sits on top of that gravel. Now, for the durability of the mat on the edges you have these well stitched hems. So it's a double hem. The stitching is really good. There's not any fraying around the hems and the grommets are placed inside of them pretty securely. And if you're worried about, let's say your shoes or the chairs or the coolers snagging against the mat and ripping it up, this is a very strong material. What may break it down though, is if you drag the whole mat across the parking lot with a cooler on top, I did do that and I did notice a little bit of tearing underneath but nothing that took the whole mat apart just normal wear and tear. The material also means that this rug is UV, mold and mildew resistant so the UV rays won't start fading it compared to some other types of materials. Mold and mildew resistant is important because you are gonna spill things on your mat. You are gonna have moisture, whether it's underneath or above your mat too, and you wanna make sure that when you pack it up at the end of the season it is not gonna mold in your camper over your winter months. So things like that are important. If you do want to though, you can hose it off. You're gonna just use open water, just water and just hang it up to dry. This does repel the water although your seams may take a little bit longer to dry out. This is what your mat is gonna look like all folded up. So for its folded dimensions, it's gonna be 24" wide, 40" long, and 6" thick. You do get these two elastic bands to secure it. Honestly, this is how I would secure it just because it's nice and compact as is. But you also get this bag, so this is good if you wanna store your mats and keep it protected as well. It's gonna be a bag that fits around it pretty much perfectly. You do get a little bit of extra room, but not that much. But you do get some stakes in here as well. The number of high visibility stakes with those bright yellow tops will match the number of grommets in your mat. So these fit into that pouch. And because they're so easy to put into the ground, you don't have to carry an extra mallet. So that's pretty much all you need for this mat. So the bag is a snug fit around your mat. It can be a little tricky to zip up 'cause you have to support those stakes and pull things tight together. You can see how the bag is made of a nice, strong, durable material. It does have that water resistant finish too, and then you have these cords up top to make it easier to carry around. This makes it a lot more secure if you wanna store it inside of your basement or inside of your camper. Unfolding it, you can see that it's designed to fold along the stitch seam. So we'll take a closer look at that later. But this helps out because no matter which way you start folding it back up, you'll know that it can fold up to the same size. Leaving it out in the sun helps reduce wrinkles. Oh, and you can pick which side of your rug you want to use, the darker side or the lighter side. Once you unfold your mat you can then use your stakes to secure it into the grommet if you have soft turf. Also, you can see how we have those seams. These are actually sewn seams and that way when you need to fold it right back up again, you can just follow those as a guideline. They're also there to make sure that your two layers aren't rubbing against each other or separating. Can't really stick anything down when you have it in a parking lot or on pavement. So make sure you use something heavy in strategic areas. But that's it. That's how you set up your rug and you set up your campsite. If you have a large fifth wheel camper like this or a large motor home, then having a large outdoor rug is appropriate. You then are able to take up all this space and have a nice base camp for your campsite, for your chairs, place for your kids or your pets to explore and just hang out in. Now, if you had a smaller camper or maybe even like a teardrop camper or your over landing with a car then a smaller RV rug might be more appropriate. You do have those different size options available for you. They're all gonna be made the same way, have that same material. I really, really like that double twill weave with how it cushions, but also creates that nice surface. Now I did compare it with some other types of rugs so hopefully this video helped explain what types of situations you'll enjoy this rug in if that's gonna be the adventures you're going on, awesome, and hopefully this video helped you out with getting the right rug for you. And that right there was an overview of the etrailer RV outdoor rug. So whether you need an extra large rug, medium size, or small, you've got a great balance of versatility, cushion and durability for your RV adventures.
I love the mat, but it's not grey: it's blue. Just an FYI, for those who don't want a very pretty. light blue. (Personally, I'm thrilled with it!)
I'm happy with the 22' lenght as it provides clean living under my awning and up to my entry door of my 40' Class A.
Quality is standard. I've dragged tool boxes, camp chairs, and fire wood across it and it shows no signs of wear. I'm currently parked on a rock-strewn site and the mat has protected my knees and bare feet from the rocks. I only staked the corners and even in high winds it doesn't even flutter. I haven't tried folding it to fit into the provided bag. I do very much appreciate the included bag and stakes.
Very pleased with my purchase.
I live in California so I wanted to use the rug year round. The rug was really nice at first. I liked how easy it was to sweep up (with the weave)when cleaning the dirt and rocks off the top with a broom and the light color didn’t get too hot in the sun for my bare feet.
At 8 months started seeing some broken weaving where traffic usually isn’t. At 10 months the top weave is disintegrating, leaving microplastics all over the surrounding grass and on my feet when coming into the house. IMO if you use it sparingly will be good but for constant usage, find something else.
We had have this rug out on the ground at our camper at the beach for a year. It has held up extremely well in a very harsh environment. With it being directly on soft ground you do have to be careful of putting anything on it that might puncture the rug. Highly recommend, great product.

The rug is still going strong. Holding up very well outdoors at the beach. Very impressed with the quality of this product and the concern from the eTrailer. They contacted me a year later to check in on the product. Great customer service as well.
Love the out door carpet. To cold here to camp bought a new 2026 gray wolf travel trailer have to have new carpet.
Love the large size of this outdoor rug. The biggest I can find. We have two doors on our trailer this fits perfect, easy to clean. Had it in 120 degree weather held up pretty good. I would recommend this rug
We keep our camper in the forest from April till October. Stake the rug down through the robust eyelets. Just unstaked after 7 months, rug shows no signs of wear. Very happy with the performance.
We RV full time and have had the rug for a year. It has held up great. Love the size so much. Really keeps things clean and gives the outside of our a rig a great aesthetic. Will purchase again once this one wears out.
Good quality
I bought this rug a year ago because of its size and color. It’s been almost a full season and it still looks like the day I laid it out. It came with pegs and storage bag. It has met my needs and would recommend to any person in the market for a RV Rug.

This is our second season and nothing has changed with the quality of this rug. Still looks great. Still recommend.

High quality, easy to fold and stores easily every time in the bag it comes with. 10/10 would recommend every time.
Love the rug it has held up well but as fir the bag the zippers broke second time using and has become pretty useless
The etrailer rug was alot bigger than i thought it was going to be but that ended up helping us out. It rained the entire time we were camping and the mat allowed us to keep the mud and dirt outside of the tent easy to roll up and roll out. I love the sturdiness but the bag can be improved. The bag is cheap and broke way before i got to use the rug so you just have to carry it as is. It helped keep our tent clean, this is perfect for someone that wants to be in nature but also wants to leave nature outside.
Great mat!!! Super large-it’s long enough to cover both our doors. Case and stakes and great quality too!
Easy to fold and unfold. Very lightweight and dries quickly after a quick thunderstorm passed through .
Great Fast service, so easy to work with Etrailer.
We have enjoyed the rug when we are able to put it out, some rv places don't allow rugs to be extended out on their grass. The rug does snag on some surfaces, we have a couple in ours. Overall, I do enjoy being able to have one rug long enough for both doors and wide enough for our sitting area.
DELIVERY TIME WAS AMAZING. UNBOXED, BUT HAVEN'T HAD A CHANCE TO USE IT YET, CAN'T WAIT.
Beautiful! Bought it because of the grommet. Expect it to last a few years
The rug has been awesome this season. It's easy to use, stays in place great and makes a big difference in helping keep the RV cleaner with less tracked in sand and dirt.

A year later and this outdoor rug has been really awesome. I get multiple compliments on it. Overall, it is quick and easy to use and easy to clean - a simple rinse out and let dry.
Rug has held up very well after 1 year of use. Very happy with look and extra large size.
It got three cut or snags on this weekend camping
Rug is great. Light weight cleansing up nicely. Easy storage.
It’s big. Love that. I wish it was a little more durable as I have it right on coarse gravel. But I’m confident I can get several seasons out of it and it will be used daily
Very fast shipping and early delivery. Product is exactly as shown and is great.

1 year, 5 states, and thousands of miles later this patio mat still looks like it did on day one. I have literally dragged camp chairs and picnic tables across this thing. I travel solo full time, so I can’t lift a picnic table by myself. Highly recommend this patio mat. The fact that it easily folds and fits in its storage bag is a huge bonus. Again, one small person doing it alone.
