If you can't find a spot to mount your battery box on your trailer, this weld-on plate can give you one. Includes hardware that's spaced for your Hopkins Engager top-load breakaway kit. The kit installs easily once the plate is welded on.

The mounting plates (yes, that's plural, I am running two break-away batteries for backups to each other) were a life saver. Where I mounted the break-away batts was impossible to drill so I welded these on the center tube. The brackets "tacked" on nicely between the outside rail and the center tube then the battery boxes mounted up with no issues at all. In my case I installed two dpdt switches, one in each box for two reasons, one so I could take the batteries offline one at a time or both so as to evaluate each unit's health and the second was to prevent some bonehead from stealing/pulling the break-away key while the trailer is parked or disconnected which would engage the brake actuator and run the batteries down. You just have to remember to rearm the batteries before you use the trailer which is no big deal for the piece of mind a dual setup gives you, remembering to flip the switches online is no different than remembering to attach your safety chains.
Would recommend this as it pairs with the Hopkins break-away set-up. This definitely makes installing the break-away kit easy and provides good mounting for the box.
