  • Smooth, Reliable Towing: Balanced cast-iron assembly minimizes runout for consistent braking.

Features to know about

Built for Water, Salt, and Road Grime: Maxx Coating Withstands 1,000 Hours of Salt Spray

Trailers that see water or salty roads need serious rust protection. This DeeMaxx 13" hub-and-rotor assembly uses a Maxx coating thats been tested to hold up for more than 1,000 hours in salt spray. The machined cast-iron body delivers strong braking while the coating keeps corrosion from eating away at the surface. Whether its wet roads or salt exposure, this finish keeps the hub looking clean and lasting longer.

Smooth Stops Without Shudder: Precision Machining Prevents Warping

Brake vibration or pulsing can ruin confidence on the road. This one-piece hub-and-rotor is fully machined to minimize runout and warping, keeping everything spinning true. That means steady, predictable braking feel mile after mile. The balanced design also helps prevent uneven wear, giving a smoother ride from the first pull to the last stop.

Less Hassle When Swapping or Upgrading: One-Piece Hub-and-Rotor Design

Anyone whos replaced a brake setup knows how juggling loose parts can slow you down. This single cast-iron assembly combines hub and rotor in one solid piece, so theres no chance of contaminants getting between them and no alignment headaches during install. Industry-standard races are already included, so its ready for bearings and seals (sold separately) right out of the box.

Keeps Cool Under Heavy Loads: Vented Rotor Controls Heat

Hauling heavy generates serious heat in the brakes, especially on long grades. The vented rotor design moves air through the assembly to shed heat fast and prevent fade or damage. That keeps braking performance consistent even when loaded close to its 8,000-lb axle rating. With cast-iron strength and a well-balanced build, it holds braking power steady when things get hot.

Fights Moisture From the Inside Out: Drain Holes Let Water Escape

Water trapped in a hub can lead to early corrosion or bearing damage. Drainage holes in the hat section let water flow out quickly instead of pooling inside. Its a simple feature that makes a big difference for longevityespecially when pulling a trailer through wet conditions or after washing down the rig.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Video Transcript for Review of DeeMaxx Trailer Brakes - 8K Disc Brake Kit 13 Inch Hub Rotor - DE45XR

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this DeeMaxx 8K disc brake kit 13-inch hub rotor. Now this is a 13 1/8 inch in diameter rotor. It is designed for 8K oil bath axles with 5/8 inch studs. This is going to work with most disc brake calipers and mounting brackets. So again, this is gonna be ideal for your 8K marine, ag, or winter-use trailer axles.

And trying to hold this up at the same time. Let me see here, my block can hold this up real quick. Let me just go ahead and confirm that measurement with you. So looking at the diameter, I hope you can see, 13 1/8 inches, just to confirm that with you. Now this does have a Maxx coating that's going to resist rust.

It's got 1,000 plus hour salt spray rating for harsh environments. Our bolt pattern is 8-on-6 1/2 inches, and that wheel stud size diameter is 5/8 inch. Now this does not include bearings, but I do wanna put that information there on the screen for you. So the bearings will be sold separately, but you do see the inner and the outer bearings that are gonna be compatible with this. The races are included.

They're already pressed in. And you can see the race numbers that this is using. The oil seal will be sold separately. And I'm including the number for that oil seal, so you can pick that up separately as well. So this is a one-piece vented hub rotor.

It's going to enhance cooling and help prevent the brake fade. And you can see the vents there. The threaded hub ends are going to accept a screw-on oil caps for secure oil bath setups. The drainage holes are included that you can see right here. So that's gonna move water out to protect the and extend the component life. But if you happen to have any other additional questions that I did not cover for you during our time together, don't hesitate to reach back out. We do wanna be sure that you're getting exactly what you want and need. Well, that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Best upgrade to our 5th wheel. I will do this to every trailer I ever own. The install was straight forward if you have some mechanical knowledge and experience.

by:

Just traveled 800 miles after installing the disc brakes. Stopping distance is half of what it was. So pleased!

by:

We had a rough start getting the right brakes for our Brinkley Z3100. However after ETrailer realized they made an error on the order they were right on top of it, doing everything they could do to make it right. Their people are great, kind, well informed in their products, and communicate very promptly. E Trailer will be my go to supplier for RV, and Trailer needs.
You will not be disapointed with their customer care!

by:

Excellent customer service. All of my questions were answered. All of parts arrived the very next day. Parts appear to be of high quality.

by:

Easy installation, work so much better than stock drums. Some brake pad noise under lite braking.

by:

Really surprised how quickly parts came. One box looked pretty rough, but all parts appear to be there. Will know more after install and put a few miles on the trailer.

by:

One of the kits was missing all 5 mount bolts, had to run to Hardware store to get replacements. Bolt up is simple & strait forward. Packaging needs to be more substantial as the calpers were floating around in the box & had some scuffing damage.. maybe put some composite straps around boxing so they can be easier to Carry?

by:

The first order I made was incorrect due to my mistake, but Amy took care of it had the correct items sent out with the wrong items returned. Everything was very smooth.

by:

Etrailer to the rescue! Extremely high quality direct replacement for DeeMaxx EOH kit DE66AR offered on this site. Our original got damaged after a bearing failure. I actually cary a spare set of bearings which allowed us at a minimum to limp our RV home and avoid an expensive tow. Now I will replace the damaged parts.

I have towed my 16,000lb fifth wheel over 12,000mi since installing the disc brake system. The braking power and control is vastly improved with the disc brakes over the drum brakes. I am certain that I avoided a major accident because of the disc brake system. The kit had everything I needed and the customer service was great.

Have a 2024 Brinkley camper. Barley felt the drum brakes work. Camping in Colorado and the Black Hills was a little stressful with little brake help from the camper. Winter here. I've only took the camper on a test drive (20 miles) with the new disc brakes. They work awesome! All the brake power you need from the camper now.

I ordered the wrong brake kit at first. I needed 9/16" bolts instead of 1/2". Ashley from E-tailer got what I needed coming and gave ups the pickup label right after I called. Thank you Ashley!

As for the brake install. Fairly easy. Not fun, but easy. The hardest part was running and securing the brake lines. And maybe the wiring up the actuator. Instructions were great. Just a little intimidating the first time. Next time will take half the time to do. But I no plains for the next time! Also make sure your brake controller can change to elec. over hdy. Luckily my 2023 F350 did and was easy to change on the screen.

Thank you again Ashley!!
