Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this DeeMaxx replacement rubber bushing. This is going to fit the caliper mounting guide bolts on your DeeMaxx 3,500 to 8,000 pound disc brake kits. It's gonna fit right in place of the original, so you don't have to worry about fit issues or compatibility problems, or anything like that. It is gonna fit right where you need it to and give you that support that you need for your caliper mounting bolts. This is constructed of a nice durable rubber, so it is gonna hold up well for you.
And again, because this is coming directly from DeeMaxx, you can trust it is gonna fit and no worries about compatibility. All right, completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
Perfect OEM replacement! After 10 years, it was time to replace the four rubber guide bushings on my pair DeeMaxx calipers. Once I got the old bushings out (fold and extract with long needle nosed pliers), I honed the rust out of the holes to make sure they were proper bore. As I reassembled the calipers, I wiped the inside of the steel caliper bores with silicone grease, and these new bushings pressed right in using my fingers. Lubed the guide pins with silicone grease, and everything moves easily as it should.
A word of caution about the guide pins. The threaded stainless guide pins and the stainless guide bushings (sleeve) are peened so the pin won't easily separate from the sleeve bushing. If you try to back the threaded pin beyond what is necessary to release the caliper from the mounting plate, it WILL damage the threads on the threaded pins. Once you get the calipers off the trailer, drive the pins toward the gap where the brake pads go after spraying them with penetrating oil to lube them up to get them to press through the old rubber bushing. Water had gotten between the steel caliper bore and the OD of these rubber bushings, causing the steel bore diameter to decrease making the stainless guide pins difficult to drive out of the calipers using a hammer and punch.
I bought these rubber bushings for spares to carry with me. Price was great and shipping was fast and easy.
I was able to obtain brake caliper parts that are not easily obtained.
I was able to restore some boat trailer calipers for less than $25 compared to new ones over $110.
got here fast pretty good quality

The product worked fine but was removed by MorRyde as a recall from Dexter to change to a different type of brake pad.
