Plug-and-play custom harness gets turn and brake signals on your towed car with no hardwiring or splicing, and no effect on your warranty. The built-in diodes protect your car from electrical feedback.

A combined lighting system, or 2-wire system, uses the same light bulb to signal both braking and turning. (In other words, the car signals a turn by flashing the brake light.)
A separate lighting system, or 3-wire system, has the brake signal and the turn signal light up independently of each other. Typically, the turn signal is amber.
To keep the separate lighting system on your car functioning properly while you're flat towing, add a wiring converter (118158 - sold separately) and 2 additional diodes.
If the engine is off and your car's brake lights illuminate when you press the brake pedal, you need to install a brake light relay (RM-88400 - sold separately) with this kit. Without a relay, your car's brake signal will override the turn signal sent by the RV when you are slowing down to make a turn, creating a potentially dangerous situation. Other drivers will see that you're slowing down, but not that you're making a turn. With a brake light relay, you can signal both and travel safely.

Works as described. Did not come with double faced tape to attach diode converter. Easy install, worst part running the wiring harness to the front. Keep away from moving and hot parts. I used a lot more zip/ties than provided. But overall I'm satisfied with the product.
The kit was very easy to install, and all parts fit perfectly. I did not use the fuse holder supplied with the kit as there is a connection provided with my Jeep's rear fuse box for this purpose.

The product is still working great after a year and a lot of miles.
The wiring kit to tow our 05’ Jeep Liberty worked great. I had to cut off the flat end and wire it to our round receptacle on the Jeep to fit the Motorhome. The only thing that is time consuming is running the wire from the rear to the front while scooting around under the Jeep. Otherwise a piece of cake.
Easy install. I tor my jeep from Arkansas to California and back. Works GREAT, Thank you so much.

Base plate bx1119 and wiring kit hm56203 both were very easy to install , just follow the easy directions .I'm 73 and it only took me 4 hours to completely install both. I did it with the jeep sitting flat on garage floor.

Wow I'm so happy that I ordered this harness from etrailer. We had just purchased an 07 liberty and had a trip planned but needed lights before we could travel, after just about three days the kit arrived. Only took about 90 minutes to install I suggest watching their you tube video. The next day we were on the road.

Ordered Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit (#HM56203) for my 2005 Jeep Liberty that I am currently in the process of preparing to flat tow. Ordered this kit due to the fact that the connections were plug in as opposed to having to splice into existing wiring as many of the other kits offered required. Kit was delivered 4 days after order was placed and was shipped regular UPS, unheard of! Installed kit today and couldn’t be happier. There weren’t any instructions sent with the kit but I had looked at the installation video on your website before ordering the kit and that was basically all the information I needed. Previously ordered a Roadmaster baseplate for the Jeep and also completely satisfied with that item. Wished I would have ordered the Brake Buddy that the wife ordered today back when I had her order the baseplate, could have saved me a couple of Ben Franklins ($xxx)! It was on sale then. I am excited about getting the Brake Buddy installed and hitting the road. Everything we have ordered has been superior quality, etrailer has better pricing than either one of the two RV dealers in town and I can usually wait a week to get what I need.
Installation was a breeze and after a year of pulling my Jeep Liberty behind our rv, I'm still very pleased with the harness. It sure beats breaking into the existing factory wiring on your vehicle! The fact that you can just plug the light sockets and bulbs into a spare hole in the existing tail lights means there is virtually no modifications necessary.
This harness was a snap-in on my 2006 Jeep Liberty. Installation took less than 10 minutes, and that included dropping one screw and crawling around on my hands and knees to find it.
I sold that Jeep Liberty for a different one, and the swapping from the old jeep to the new one couldn't have been easier.
I look at it this way: It was priced right; it shipped fast, it installed easily, and it's worked flawlessly. What more can you ask for?

I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty that I pull behind a 38' RV...This was an easy install, would have been super easy if I had a lift...crawling under the vehicle to secure the wiring was the only painful experience. Directions and videos were very helpful. I cut the 4 way plug off and wired it for a 7 to 6 pin coiled cable.
Again, perfect transaction and great products... When I'm looking for that thing (anything trailer or towing) I cant even explain I always go here 1st....

Used it many times over the year and all is good!!
I got this wireing harness for our jeep. It took about 1 hour to install an run wires. We tow the jeep all over. An had no trouble at all.
product worked as advertised. However on my 2005 jeep liberty the turn signal is a separate yellow light below the Break / tail light. it would be Nice if the harness used the same lights. But it works fine like it is.

all items received undamaged and ahead of promised date.staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about products. Would recommend to anyone needing towing equipment and or electronics needed for towing any vehicle or trailer.
This is the second kit I have ordered for a customer at my shop now. The quality is beyond excellent and installation is easy. Amazing value. Works awesome.
Wish the flat 4 connector on the front was a rooms connector but other then that it’s a great product with no wire cutting needed.
The kit connected my Jeep Liberty to my RV for a trip through the Black Hills and Yellowstone. Excellent.
Good design, easy to install, make sure you connect a good ground or the lights will not work. Installed in about 2 hours.
