A spring-loaded header guide snaps easily inton place at the front of the truck bed to secure the cover assembly, reducing installation time when compared with the bolt-on headers of other tonneau covers.
The rails of the Lo Pro install in about 20 minutes with TruXedo's quick-attach clamps. These clamps install with just a socket and ratchet. The clamps mount three to a side, holding the angled side rails in place along the inside of your truck-bed rails. This allows you to install the tonneau while leaving your stake pockets free for ladder racks. And it permits the use of other truck-bed accessories such as bed rails, bed liners and rail caps. All components of the cover come pre-assembled and ready to install - no drilling required.
The cover mounts on the angled rails with 1-1/2" Velcro strips for a superior hold - no straps or adhesives that can fail. The Velcro moves back and forth - or "floats" - on the rails, preventing normal wear and tear.
The "floating hook" Velcro technology works in tandem with a spring-loaded, automatic tension control to continually adjust and keep the fabric tight, even when the cover is closed. This prevents you from having to constantly adjust the knob to find the right tension for the cover.
