When you’re hauling gear day after day, you need a cover that opens fast without a fight. The Switchblade uses a heavy-duty tension spring that retracts the cover automatically when you squeeze the pinch grips under the rear plate. It slides smoothly into the front canister and stays protected from the elements. The built-in pull strap lets you close it just as easily, gliding along the tracks until it seals at the tailgate.
Keeping tools or equipment safe doesn’t mean dealing with complicated locks. The Switchblade’s aluminum panels are bonded to a vinyl top layer for the strength of a hard cover and the clean look of a soft one. When used with your locked tailgate, both the pull strap and the pinch grips are out of reach, so your cargo stays protected. The rigid panels can’t be pried open or sliced through like soft covers, giving real peace of mind when you leave your truck parked overnight.
Sometimes you need every inch of your bed space for bulky cargo. After the first setup, this cover can be removed or reinstalled in about 10 minutes using just a wrench and screwdriver. Unbolt the canister, pop off the rails, and lift it out—no drilling or wiring needed. Once your load is done, reinstall it just as quickly to get your security and weather protection back in place.
A cover should protect your bed without sticking out like a sore thumb. The Switchblade sits only 1/8" above the bed rails for a flush, aerodynamic look that cuts wind drag and helps improve fuel mileage. The canister’s compact angled design keeps your rear window clear and leaves more room for cargo at the front of the bed.
Rain or shine, your gear stays covered. The vinyl-coated aluminum ArmorTek deck seals tight against foam gaskets under the rails and along the tailgate. Water channels built into the side rails funnel runoff into drain tubes that exit through factory holes in the bed floor, keeping water from pooling or freezing in the tracks. You get durable protection from rain, dust, and road grime without constant cleaning or adjustment.

The products instructions sucked & it was missing 1 part. It took much longer than 10 minutes to install as indicated. Plus I was expecting to see a video of installation on your website, but there wasn't any.
Tonneau cover was delivered as requested and the product was installed in less than 1/2 hour. Prompt delivery with zero problems,I would highly recommend this product.
I know that it is not your problem but the installation instructions need to be better I learned more from a video on the cover than what the instructions told me .Maybe Pace Edwards should include a link on their instruction page

Finally got time to install my bed cover. Love it, much better than the old back flip that I had on my old truck.
Abigail helped me find the correct tonneau cover that fits an 8 ft. Truck bed. Order came pretty quickly and my wife and I installed it in about 1 1/2 hours. The materials seem to be top notch and look amazing on my truck. Love the low profile.The cover slides back and forth with ease. Great fit! Great Product. Do watch the video's on the installation. Great service and fine product! Order was delivered in two packages and delivered on time, and all the parts were included (nothing left out as sometimes happens). Tonneau cover was easy to install both by following included directions or by using the demo video on the website. Item fit my 2026 RAM3500 DRW MEGA CAB like OEM and worked properly upon installation.
I have only one slight concern as you will see in provided pictures. To make the cover fully "water tight", you will need to add some type of seal or trim where the bed meets the bed rails, as the provided seal does not extend over this small, open area at the joint.
Looks good. Easy install. Can be done by one person. Opens and closes smoothly.
It keeps items in the bedroom covered but NOT DRY . It is NOT worth the $1200 . Seriously thinking about going back to my tri fold cover
Thank you eTrailer for your install videos. They are so much better to follow than the instructions that come with the cover. It took me about an hour to install if not a bit longer due to the rain. I installed on my own, which the install woukd be faster if you have someone helping you. The only thing I had an issue with was the weather strip but it was also due to the surface being wet and hard to dry.
It is installed and was fairly straight forward. Despite others indicating there were no instructions, mine included somewhat clear instructions (could be better). If I had understood that staples through vinyl into aluminum was the core of the design - or a plastic bin was the container, I would certainly have kept looking for something with a more robust design. I expect a couple/three years before replacing, but it solves my immediate need. In this case, ability to see the gooseneck ball from the center high-mount camera that was blocked with the tri-fold cover. Like others have shared, don't expect a dry bed! The omission of a seal from the rear of the rails to the tailgate is confusing - as is the lack of seal length on the head rail to from a seal up front. I'll figure something out for both eventually, but a little underwhelming for the would-be low cost to address in design.
I'm very satisfied with the product. I previously had a flip top style tonneau cover on an older truck which blocked my rearview mirror when fully up. Not a problem with this unit. The majority of the full length bed is still usable. The unit only hangs down about 8 to 10 inches or so into the bed. I had no problem installing it on my own. The fit was perfect. Overall a good experience. The only thing I would have liked to have seen was a third brace in the middle for the side panels, just to provide extra support in case someone sits down on the bed rail and puts more wait on the side panel than the bed. That said, it does feel pretty solid and looks great.
Overall for the price I’m not satisfied. I followed the manufacturers instructions and it worked smoothly for about a month and then the tracks started getting rougher and rougher. It will open about half way and then you need to get in and push it from side to side for it to fully retract. I also had the cover fall down off the track in the center and it was a huge pain to get it back in the track by myself with cargo inside the bed. You are better off spending an extra $100-200 and going with the “real truck” roll up bed cover.

Very easy one man install. Looks amazing. very flush with bed rails. will slide over 5th Wheel hitch. gives enough room under Canister to put 36 gallon fuel tank.
The bed cover is amazing! I have a low bed rack that doesn’t work with a folding cover, so this retractable cover was the perfect choice. Now I can leave the rack in place and access the bed. Installation was pretty easy, a little confusing just from the directions, but it probably would have been easier if I watched a video. The clamps weren’t intuitive, but made sense once they were in and feel super secure. I’ve only had it in for a few days, but just took the truck camping for a long weekend and used the cover a bunch. I can’t speak to the longevity yet, but so far, so good!
Love the sleekness of the cover. I removed a bak revolver and replaced it with this one. Much easier to hook up the 5th wheel without the giant roll of cover behind the cab. Super easy to open and close. The only issue I had was the front mounting hardware did not fit for some reason. They would not loop together due to the Engel of the truck bed. Not a big deal as I made it work just fine.pretty easy install as I did the entire thing alone as a 58 year old man with a wrecked back!
So far I am happy with the product . Everything was in the box and assembly was very simple.

Tried to buy a replacement rail for the drivers side but etrailer doesn’t deal with replacement parts. Buy from someone who can get replacement parts is my advise.

Got this cover a year ago to cover our hitch and camping gear in the back of our one ton. The cover has needed a small adjustment and nothing else. It made it through our wild and snowy winter here in Colorado without any issues. I highly recommend this Pace Edwards retractable cover. It wont let you down.
