For anyone who needs solid protection without losing convenience, this cover checks every box. The BAK Revolver X2 uses 1/4" thick, aircraft-grade aluminum slats under a textured black vinyl skin. The hybrid build gives it the strength of a hard cover with the smooth look of a soft one. It holds up to 400 lbs of evenly distributed weight, resists impacts and UV damage, and keeps your cargo secure from weather or theft. The matte black rubber seals close off the edges to help keep water from seeping in, so your gear stays dry through rain or snow.
When you need the whole bed, you get it in seconds. Just pull the release cable, roll the cover toward the cab, and strap it in place with the built-in nylon straps and plastic buckles. The aluminum slats hinge smoothly, so the cover rolls up evenly every time instead of getting lopsided. Even rolled up, it stays clear of your rear window and leaves stake pockets open for racks or tie-downs.
The Revolver X2 sits nearly flush with the bed rails for a clean, factory look. Because it mounts inside the rails, it doesn’t stick out or block stake pockets. The aerodynamic shape also helps reduce wind drag for a smoother drive. It’s a simple, low-profile design that keeps your truck looking sharp while adding real function.
Closing the tailgate locks the cover automatically. When you press down the rear slat, the built-in latches engage and the side rails rotate to lock the cover along its full length. With the tailgate closed and locked, the bed and cover are both secure. To open it, drop the gate and pull one of the release cords at the corners. Everything disengages at once, so you can roll it up with one hand and get right back to work.
You don’t need to drill or guess at alignment. The aircraft-grade aluminum rails clamp to the inside of the bed with slotted mounting plates that self-position for a snug fit. Pre-installed shims and spacers keep everything square, so the cover seals evenly from front to back. A wrench is all it takes to bolt the hinge rail to the frame rails at the cab and you’re ready to go.

Hi Laura - I am still pleased with my BAK bed cover. I dont like it quite as well as the previous version I had on my other 2013 Nissan Frontier truck which got stolen, hence the new cover, but I am still pleased with the product. The new cover doesnt roll or latch quite as smoothly as the old one, but it still works well. They also slightly changed the clips for anchoring the rolled up cover, and I find them harder to clip in and maintain tension on the strap, but again they do work. Thanks for following up.

Well, not so happy with the product. The carpeting fell off on the underside of the cover. Also the right side of the cover towards the tailgate shrank. Its been a few months since I started to have those issues and should of contacted you earlier for warranty. Hopefully its not too late for a warranty claim.

I am sorry to hear about your experience with this cover. It is a BAK industries product that makes the revolver covers, did your not have the logo on the left side by the tailgate? What kind of truck did you install this on?
