Most covers stand out and change the truck’s lines, but this one sits only ½ inch above the bed for a clean, streamlined look. The aerodynamic shape helps reduce wind drag, which can improve gas mileage by up to 10 percent. It’s a simple, low-profile design that keeps things looking sharp while doing the job.
You don’t have to take this cover off when you need more room. The soft vinyl top rolls up in seconds and secures with a sturdy strap and buckle, giving you complete access to the bed whenever you need it. When you’re done hauling, you just unroll it and latch it back into place.
When closed, the trigger latch automatically locks the cover down, and the side-mounted slide locks add an extra layer of security. With the tailgate locked, the bed stays sealed and protected. Releasing it is just as easy—one quick pull on the latch, and it’s open.
Keeping the cover tight is easy thanks to the barrel-style EZ Dials. You can fine-tune the tension by hand to keep the vinyl pulled snug against the rails, so it won’t flap or sag. The Velcro side seals hold tight against the bed rails to help keep out rain and dust.
Installation doesn’t require drilling or special tools. Six aircraft-grade aluminum clamps secure the rails to the bed sides, and the Tight Bite teeth lock them firmly in place. The straight aluminum rails and bows are rustproof, lightweight, and built to stay solid once installed.

Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Access Tonnosport Soft Roll-up Tonneau Cover. This is an entry level tonneau cover from Access, and we're gonna take a look at the different specs, different measurements, different features, right here at etrailer. So, if you wanna protect your truck bed from the elements, let's say you have a lot of snow, you have rain, you have sun beating down, and you don't wanna mess up your bed liner, that's what a tonneau cover like this is for. It's also if you wanna protect the cargo underneath from those elements as well.
This is gonna be the entry level cover, though. So, if you want the more premium features, definitely check out the other videos of tonneau covers we have here etrailer for some of those more premium items. Access has a bunch of cool ones, but this definitely does check off most of the boxes you might be looking for. So hopefully this video will help you out with figuring is this gonna be the right cover for you, your truck, and your adventures. So even though it's the economy option, it's still a really good looking cover.
We have this installed on our Ram 3500, but this fits a bunch of other trucks as well. Definitely use our fit guide here at etrailer, so you can get the right fit for you and your truck. This is gonna be a low profile tonneau cover that's relatively easy to use. Check out my install on this Ram 3500, if you're curious about that process. So, a soft roll-up tonneau cover means you can roll the tonneau cover up and keep it rolled up, that way you can access your truck bed whenever you want.
So let's do that, and take a closer look at the different features. So this has a seam on the side, and notice how it is aligned and flush with our truck bed. Now, this is only on the sides of our truck bed. If you want the more premium Access covers, that seam goes all the way up, even towards the cab. This one has support beams made of aluminum.
Great, because it's lightweight, easy to maneuver. Also, this prevents people from pealing this up and accessing your truck bed from the side. Now, this is unpainted. I think it's perfectly fine, since it is made of aluminum, but some prefer the black finish that you can find on the beams of the other Access covers. The vinyl cover here feels very strong, feels durable. It is water resistant. Now this doesn't have any drain holes, things like that. So, you're gonna have to hope that if you have the tension tight enough, then it will just run off towards the sides. So, the differences between a soft tonneau cover and a hard tonneau cover, is that this can be punctured with enough force. So if you want to prevent theft in that area, that's when you start looking at the hard tonneau covers. Now, the perks of a soft tonneau cover, is its very lightweight, it's easy to install, and it doesn't take up much space. So, we saw earlier how it did not cover our rear window of our Ram 3500. A larger, or a hard tonneau cover sometimes either has a canister that goes underneath, or folds up to cover that window. So different pros, different cons. This does not include a locking mechanism. Once your tonneau cover is secured, you can then only access it by lowering your tailgate. So your truck itself is the lock for your tonneau cover. This is so lightweight, that even I can install it all by myself. It can get a little tricky on your longer beds, just because you have to have clamps just to hold it up in place, as you use the clamps included with the kit to tighten everything down. So, if those larger, hard tonneau covers, those canister tonneau covers, seem kind of daunting, because they require lifting and the weight or help of other people to lift the weight, this does not require any of that. It's super easy to do. So, my personal thoughts about the Tonnosport tonneau cover, is that if you're looking to enter into the world of tonneau covers, and you don't really wanna spend too much, 'cause you're not sure what type of cover you want, this is a great way to start. It checks off most of the boxes. It covers your truck bed. We have a nice seal on the edge. It doesn't interfere with your tailgate. Doesn't take up room behind your window. Things like that. Hopefully this video helped you out with the different pros, the different cons. I personally think that if you have a larger bed, definitely find something that's a little easier to use, 'cause it does take some time to unroll and roll this back up. For your trucks with shorter beds and smaller beds, your compact trucks, this might be a great option for you, for a quick and easy tonneau cover to throw up on there whenever you need it. Great cover and still looks and works like new a year later. Has handled long interstate drives without issue. I am happy that I was able to install this on my 2018 Tacoma and leave my rail accessories in tact, still giving me full access to the hooks in my rail when needed. It was also very easy to install by myself.
Installation of this product is very difficult for Hyundai Santa Cruz (2025). The 2 sets of instructions are some of the worst I've ever seen plus you'll need to cross reference videos online for other models of trucks to fill out the missing information. I have it installed which look ok but it still needs more adjustment. Also when rolled up the Santa Cruz's back support frame next to the cab window area tapers up together at the top so the roll up doesn't fit up to the cab back window. I'll need to by clip extensions to hold it in it's rolled up position.
When installing the rails they would not sit square after tightening the clamps. The bed I have on my Santa Cruz has a plastic liner. Not sure if that was the problem. My son-in-law put two washers behind each clamp in order to square up the rail. That seemed to work. After the headache of trying to figure out how to correct the problem our solution worked. The cover itself looks great on the truck.

Hard to find size, so I appreciate finding it and it being advertised appropriately. Easy enough to install and looks good. If I could change something, the side rails are mounted inside bed, would be nice if they could go on top of the side wall to not take up that space

The customer service at eTrailer is absolutely outstanding. They have a great process other companies should follow. I reviewed all the applicable tonneau covers and videos for my 09 Dodge 3500 4x4 LB many times before I chose the Access TonnoSport Soft, Roll-Up. It had to be compatible with complete access to a tool chest & 5th wheel. Once I received the item, the directions described the pieces in "Access's" technical terms. Some pics were dark contrasted, hard to figure out, drawings would have helped. I made slight adjustments according to the troubleshooting page. Overall, pleased with product & the outcome.
While initially when I got this cover, I thought it was good quality. After using it for about 10 months, I see that is not true. The adhesive on the back of the Velcro that holds the cover down is not sticking anymore. So the cover is not staying closed. I called support about this and they did send me out new Velcro strips. While I started installing the new strips, I notice the cover maturely has been rubbing against the metal bars that gives the cover its tautness. So they will rub through the cover material probably right when the warranty expires. I really wish I got all my $ back and would buy a better quality cover.

Excellent product instructions could be little better but after some reasoning was able to figure it out.
Overall it has been a great product. I do wish that it wasn't so baggy. But, I understand that the material it is made from tends to do that depending on temperature.
It fits and looks great. Shipping was extremely fast!! I didn't give it a five star rating because the cover mounting instructions were very difficult to follow and not specific to my compact pickup truck.
The install was easy,I installed it by myself. I have taken it through 15 car washes, it has been through 3 rain storms and has not let any water into the bed. If purchasing again I would get the same exact one as i love the extreme low profile.
Excellent cover I love it! Engineering figured out an excellent solution to a tough situation with the Santa Cruz’s truck body constraints and it works as good as it gets. No drilling! Only 4 stars because I did have to debur a number of aluminum extrusion parts. But don’t get me wrong, This cover is exactly what I needed. Good job to the engineers who designed it. Note: I used a set of thick washers (1/8”) to shim up the rails slightly higher than flush of the bed rails so the tail gate could close.
Good value. After one year in the hot Georgia sun, an especially cold winter, and lots of recent rain; the cover continues to hold up well and looks as good as the day I installed it. The installation was fairly easy, but the instructions could use improvement. However, with a little patience the result is nearly a custom fit. I have no negative comments regarding the quality and effectiveness of the product. Easy to use and keeps cargo dry even in the hardest of rainfall.
The Access TonnoSport Soft Roll-Up Tonneau Cover arrived in great shape. I had no trouble installing it on my Maverick. It looks great and works great. Very happy with my purchase.
These covers are the best. Getting this one for my 3rd new truck in 14 years. The last one is still in great shape and handled a 40" snow load in 2021. That cover was 5 years old at the time.
Product is great the directions not so great. After the bulkhead rail and side rails are put in tonneau cover should be rolled from the back to the front so you know exactly where everything's going.
Great cover for a fair price. Easy installation and a sleek, seamless look. This cover is far superior to the one this truck had for its first 25 years.
The cover fits perfect on my 2024 Silverado. It was pretty easy to install with help from a installation video. I took my time and it took about an hour to install. I needed this type of cover so I could install my ladder racks.
