Video Transcript for 2010 Ford F-150 Access Limited Edition Soft, Roll-Up Tonneau Cover: Complete Installation

Today on our 2010 Ford F150 well be installing the Access Rollup Tonneau Cover, Limited edition, part number834532004720. Stop fighting your bed cover. This one takes only seconds to open and close, no matter what the weather. After opening the packaging and making sure that we have all the pieces well begin by installing the rails onto the bed side. When placing the rail onto the bed side, well want to make sure that the two ends are level with the truck bed lift. Now for the time being, well use a clamp to hold the rail in place.

Well now take one of the six clamps included with the top, make sure that its fully open where we can take one of the D-rings, slide it over the clamp, making sure its on the nut side of the clamp. Well then position our clamp where we can then tighten down the nut, securing the rail to the bed side. With that one secured, well move to the back here at the tailgate where well install our second clamp. Well now put the third clamp here on this side into place. You may need to adjust the clamps, so well continue doing that until the rail is level with the bed.

We can then tighten them down. With the drivers side installed well go ahead and move over to the passengers side and repeat the same procedure. Well now take one of the two seals here and here at the head of the truck be, between the two rails well clean off this surface using the two alcohol pads supplied with the top. Well clean the surface and attach our seal. Well run it across to the other rail, and cut off the excess.

Well move onto the top. On the top here, well need to expose the metal rail that will sit as the header. Youll notice the channel has two square nuts already built into it. This will be where we attach the two plastic clamps that well use to attach to the side rails. When installing these brackets you do want to make sure youre installing them on the correct side.

The drivers side, or the left side is marked. Well take the inch and a quarter bolt and a flat washer, place the bracket over the square nut and screw the bolt into place. On this bolt we do want to leave it slightly loose as we will need to adjust this during the installation process. Well now place the top on top of our two side rails where we can then roll the header forward into position. Well then fold the nylon underneath between the top and the rubber seal that was installed previously. Well now move to one side where well take the plastic clamp, slide it underneath the inner rail making sure that the clamp slides completely in, lining up the two holes drilled, one in the bracket as well as one in the rail. With the two holes lined up well take the one inch bolt, slide it through the side rail, through the bracket, take a flat washer and the nut and secure it on the other side. We can then go ahead and tighten down the nut and bolt. Once thats tight well move on to the other bolt here on the bracket and tighten it down. We can then move to the other side of the vehicle and repeat the same procedure. Now with the head of the top connected well simply unroll the top toward the tailgate. As we unroll it youll see that the metal channel slides into the two hooks and then with a little pressure it will snap into place. With that well close our tailgate just to ensure a good, tight fit. Well then work around the sides of the truck, connecting the hook and loop tape together, making sure that the top is taught. Now that weve ensured that our tailgate closes and has a tight fit, well move on to sealing the tailgate. Included with the Access Limited tonneau cover is some extra seal that can be used to seal up the tailgate itself, so that when the tailgate closes it will close against the seal, creating a watertight seal. Well work around the tailgate, connecting the seals to the bed of the truck itself. Thats it, our tonneau covers on. Now, to open the tonneau cover well simply pull on the nylon strap found here at the back where we can then fold the tonneau cover up and continue rolling toward the front of the truck. Youll then see the two nylon straps here which can be wrapped around the tonneau cover and secured on the outside. Now the metal D-rings that come with the Limited Edition Access rollup tonneau cover can be used as tie downs within the bed. That will complete the installation for the Access Rollup Tonneau Cover, Limited Edition, part number 834532004720 on our 2010 Ford F150.
