The insulated, beveled, single lid opens to a full 90 degrees with the help of two super-duty lift cylinders, which raise the lid and hold it open as you load and unload your gear. Today on this 2012 Chevrolet Silverado, were going to do a test fit of part number UWS00156 from UWS. This is a truck bed toolbox, narrow crossover style. The dimensions of the box are 69 inches long by 12 inches wide and nine and a quarter inches deep, and above the bedrails is about two inches in height. Well start off our test fit by putting it into the bed, and well scoot it up as close as we can to the edge of the bed, and then well open up our lid to check for clearance. Now, it looks like with the box pushed already up against the bed, we have plenty of clearance for the cab. That measurement will be two and three quarter inches.
The gap between the bedrails and the box on each side is going to be about an inch and a half. Then our dimension between the bottom of the box to the bed will be 13 inches. You see how its two stainless steel handles on each side, the drivers side is locking and the lid of the box is foam filled for durability and strength. We also can change the tray to hold small items, and you can move it left or right as needed. This box is made in the U.S.A.
With that, that will finish it for our test fit of part number UWS00156 from UWS on our 2012 Chevrolet Silverado.

The UWS toolbox is a great tool. It is secure, water tight, and still holds all the equipment that used to occupy the cab. I get loads of compliments from guys looking into my truck bed. The room under the toolbox is still the best place for large bags of tools andor crates of other stuff. We love this toolbox.
